avett bros mute math world party and maybe one other non stage or tent band?
and then 6th round would be 2 big adds? that would make 83?
I think the Avett Bros. won't be an official annoucement, as they are playing in the Cafe and those bands haven't been announced in the past. I'm not sure if Mute Math would be in this category as well or not.

It seems like all the additions so far have come on one of my days off of work, so if we have an addition this week my guess is it's going to be on Thursday.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
I know some of these have been widely refuted, but it's hard to ignore some artists that will be in the area around that weekend: June 14 - Tea Leaf Green and Los Lonely Boys are playing in Chattanooga June 17 - Allman Brothers Band in Chattanooga
While I wouldn't bank on these groups being added, it wouldn't surprise me to see one added, or members from these groups showing up at Bonnaroo...
Allman Bros, Derek Trucks Band, Oteil & the Peacemakers are playing CITY STAGES in B'ham, Ala the weekend of Bonnaroo so I doubt any of them will be added. I'd love to see The Black Crowes, Pearl Jam, and Gov't Mule get added, but I bet only PJ will get the add.

I love Toad. I would love it if they were added. Honestly, I'm not sure if you were joking or not. But Glen Phillips alone or Toad (even though they've long broken up and played a reunion tour already) would be awesome.

If you sleep during Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder will leave the stage, find your tent, and literally rip out your soul. He will then leave your tent, get back on stage, hang your soul from his microphone stand (a la Steven Tyler's scarf fetish thing), and continue singing a mediocre song. The guy has a lot of repressed anger.
Kidding. XD I don't dig PJ all that much either.
Oh, and PS: I really don't see Pearl Jam getting the add. =/ I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they refuse to do festivals.

It's all a matter of musical preference. I don't see how you're surprised. Pearl Jam are respected in the musical community and have boatloads of talent. Their new album is nothing short of amazing. Last year I went back to my campsite to take a nap, eat, and partake in some fun stuff before the late night sets during both Panic sets and Dave's set. But even though they're not my cup of tea I can appreciate that they have talent and why people enjoy them. I'll probably skip Phil Lesh's set this year too and get an early start on the way home. It's not that I don't enjoy jambands, I like many of them. I like Phish, SCI, Umphrey's, Ben Harper, moe., among some. I just enjoy a wide variety of music besides jambands and I don't instantly like a band because they are a jamband like a lot of people I've met. I think that Pearl Jam would fit perfect at Roo and if you've never seen them live you wouldn't know. They extend their songs, play great jams, improvise, and all the band members are important to the overall sound. Sounds very similar to a jamband to me.

I definately have respect for PJ they're destined to become a classic band of our time. Im glad to see that people arent tearing me apart already (although that may change when i wake up tommorow morning) I was trying my best to come off as lightheated and joking with my comments... I dont like a band because i hear they're a "jamband" and dont dislike bands because they're not...
Glen Phillips actually toured as a member of Nickel Creek as recently as a year ago. He would be a very serviceable add (and almost jam band-ish Lucid!).
JOKE: How someone could fall asleep during Radiohead but stay awake for noodling jam band songs that often feature playing light riffs for eight minutes is beyond me. You are clearly not having a good enough time! /JOKE

i hear ya man. just less i have to worry about seeing. we need some jam bands damnit!!!! and not mainstream radio jam. i love pearljam but we have got enough of a new draw at roo we need some love for the traditional roo community
i think to most repeat visitors roo itself will be weird this year. hopefully just as great if not the same

uskew, I got a a chance to see one of those Mutual Admiration Society (Nickel Creek/Glen Phillips) shows, and it was incredible. In fact, a perfect match for Bonnaroo. Glad to hear someone else was privy to this.

What do you guys think the chances of Postal Service playing at roo? I know one of the band members is in Death Cab, so might PS get an invite to play as well?

Did any one see the Travelin Revue tour last fall? It was Glen Philips, Dan Wilson (Semisonic), and Garrison Starr...plenty of good songs with a few 90s flashbacks.

I like PJ don't get me wrong, I used to listen to them quite a bit, but I don't know if Bonnaroo is where I want to see them. I wont be in a PJ mood I dont think. I mean I'd probably have to go see em with my friend and the fact I'd probably never see em again would make me. But I wouldnt enjoy it as much.

i disagree compeltly. i think they'd fit in perfectly at bonnaroo. they jam out their songs, they have a world view similair to many roo goers and they bring tons and tons of energy tot he table.i guess its just a matter of opinion though

if PJ does play (fingers crossed), i predict it will be the 2nd most talked about set of the weekend (behind Radiohead)

The weird thing about Pearl Jam is, I can't stand them. I think they're boring, repetitive, and don't hold a candle to seventy-five percent the early 90s bands they're compared to. I plain out don't like them... however, I can guarantee I'd go see them if they were at Bonnaroo simply because they're Pearl Jam.

I'll bet that everyone who would complain about them at Roo but then sees them will be pleasantly surprised.
