I doubt it would matter that much with what they mixed in from the new album and making things too ''sleepy''. If they cut out everything they played from Ghost Stories except for Sky Full Of Stars, and cut 4 of the 6 songs they were doing form head full of dreams, thats enough room to place in everyday life tracks. But then you gotta deal with the next album and whatever that is though. Theyre at the point where the discography is getting really deep and either you play 3 hour shows or just cut out everything that isnt a single.
Let's say that get a 90 minute set, I think they do: (Parachutes) Shiver, Yellow, Trouble | (Rush of Blood) The Scientist, Clocks, In My Place | (X&Y) - Fix You, Speed Of Sound | (Viva La Vida) Viva La Vida, Violet Hill, Lovers In Japan | (Mylo Xyloto) Princess Of China, Paradise, Every Tear Drop | (Ghost Stories) Sky Full of Stars | (Head Full of Dreams) Hymn For The Weekend, Adventure of a Lifetime. And then a couple from each of the new albums. So yeah mostly singles.
But I'm actually excited at the thought of them playing. Think we're assuming the unknown headliners are a combination of Coldplay, Travis, Frank, Lana, or Rihanna right? And there's apparently a chance for a co-headline day this year. I think I'd personally be fine with any of those other than Lana.. I like her the least from the bunch although I love NFR. Rage Against the Machine / Frank Ocean + Travis Scott / Coldplay OR Rihanna would be pretty awesome. Frank doing an hour set at 10ish and then Travis doing an hour 11:45-12ish would be great.
Still think you're over optimistic about what older stuff they'd play. They weren't playing Shiver, Trouble, Speed of Sound, Violet Hill, Lovers in Japan, or Princess of China on the last tour; seems unlikely they'd add them back in when they have an entire new album (or two )to incorporate as well. The way they pretend Viva la Vida didn't happen is very strange. They seem to have basically ignored it on each of the last two tours.
But who knows, maybe Everyday Life will have them focusing more on older stuff.

I wonder if DJ Shadow would come back this soon. I know he had sound bleed issues in 2017 and it's a quick turnaround for him to be back already but I'd welcome it.

Also, the Black Star album is finished. Their last tour for Rock The Bells was top 2 rap shows I've ever gotten to see. Outdoor 2nd to last or Mojave against a shit headliner please.

Possible some of those Awakenings artists still play, but it is interesting that it may count out the big Drumcode names. I assumed them to be shoe-ins based on how they booked the Yuma this year.

I’ll take it as a good sign.
If we can get the 2018-type Yuma bookings back, I'll be thrilled.

Is this the year we finally see KiNK in the Yuma? I really want Mall Grab to play but see that he’s currently booked for Snowbombing in Austria. I suppose he could play both depending on what date he’s booked. I would also love to see Floorplan return because I missed them in 2017.
Little off-topic, but does anyone have experience with taking a Lyft to the festival? And does it drop you off at the Family & Friends lot (green path)?Or does it drop you off in the Uber lot (yellow path)?

Probably safe to say all rideshares go to yellow path regardless of company. The destination is likely programmed into the gps to direct to that lot anyway.

Lyft picks up in the Friends and Family lot in the campgrounds just like taxis. Not down the Yellow Path you dumb sonuvabitch.

Didn’t actually do it myself but I know people who did and Lyft was the friends and family lot. Wouldn’t necessarily count on the same set up next year though.

Coldplay said they aren't touring this album so I don't know how realistic they are.
I don't think they said they weren't touring this album, rather that they wouldn't your until they found an environmentally friendly way of doing so. Plus, they could just play Coachella as other artists have done one offs before, without touring.

I Think the reason they gave for not playing Glastonbury this year was the environmentally friendly thing too, since they are a British act it would shock me for them to not play there but to play Coachella.
Trying to go back to Coachella, but having difficulty budgeting 3,000 to account for tickets, planes, food and incidentals.
Any suggestions on ways to cut corners to make it happen?
If you are anywhere in the continental US and only plan on being in California for Coachella, then $3,000 is double what you'd need. Maybe it's because I'm already used to living like a homeless person. Camp, get food & booze for your camp and live mostly off that for the weekend. If you can find a group to camp with that makes it much easier. Travel is always way cheaper when you aren't flying in or out around Easter, so weekend 2 would be your best bet this year.

Agree with others, camping a saves a ton of money, going Weekend 2 also helps. If you don’t have camping gear, renting a campervan might be a good option, they’re pretty reasonably priced and doubles as a rental car/shuttle transfer from the airport.

I've never tried this and thinking about doing it this year. If that doesn't work out, you can be a degenerate like the guys I camped with 2 years ago and buy your gear at Walmart & return it after the fest.

I loved the campervan, I would have done it again this year but we got the super cheap Embassy Suites deal instead.
Everybody's going to suggest camping, but there's always house groups on the Coachella reddit a few weeks before the fest looking to fill spots. You can probably crash on a couch and get on the house's food allocation for like $300 for the whole weekend and wouldn't have to worry about getting any camping gear. And you can just jump on their route to get to the fest, etc.
Obviously it's a bit higher risk than camping, but can be super high reward for not much more costs if you get a good group and consider yourself someone that can get along with people easily. Our house has done this in the past following a couple people dropping out last minute and integrated "online randoms" into our house plan for future years after enjoying the weekend with them.
Might be risky if sales spike for some reason but it's likely to be a lot cheaper to go weekend 2 and buy tix on Stubhub Thursday night or even Friday morning, then pick them up at the Stubhub site a few miles from the fest.
