I know Charli XCX has been on a few mocks on here but has anybody talked about her band Nasty Cherry? They just released their first EP and have a show on Netflix. I can see them being one of the first bands in the mojave for the day or something.
The netflix show is just fake reality show/band filler. We’ll see if they can actually become more than just “the band with a netflix show”

Only brought up Netflix because it seems to have created buzz for them. But I agree the show was pretty scripted . But looks like it’s a moot point right now with the echo show in March .
Adele won't tour but I'm certain she will do one offs. UK and Euro shows more likely than the states but a big fest like Coachella would be perfect for the rare show over the pond.
I think she lives in LA now.
Adele was at in the VIP section at the Rex Orange County show at the Roxy the other week. Was sitting in a booth alone. Left during the last song.

Well this just makes me think she'll be even less hard to get than I originally thought if she's living in LA. She doesn't have to travel, just 2 shows a week apart. If she has a new album, I don't think there's any way that she doesn't perform it somewhere. Not a tour, like I said, but she'll do a couple shows. We can only hope for 2021.
Gonna be an unpopular opinion but I enjoy the new Coldplay album as a whole, no stand out songs but it's a good vibe in full to relax to. Wouldn't translate well to Coachella, though. If they were to play and do a decent amount of new songs.. too.. sleepy? Only a couple mixed in with mostly old stuff would work though.

It's their best album since Viva la Vida for me, though (or maybe because?) it's lacking in obvious singles. Not as good as the early stuff, though. If they do tour it, I'm very curious what the setlists will look like.
Love the new album! Agree it wouldn't translate well for a festival, so it makes sense they won't be there. Heard a rumor (lol) they are already working on a more festival-friendly follow-up or something

I doubt it would matter that much with what they mixed in from the new album and making things too ''sleepy''. If they cut out everything they played from Ghost Stories except for Sky Full Of Stars, and cut 4 of the 6 songs they were doing form head full of dreams, thats enough room to place in everyday life tracks. But then you gotta deal with the next album and whatever that is though. Theyre at the point where the discography is getting really deep and either you play 3 hour shows or just cut out everything that isnt a single.

Came here to post this. If we got TMBG performing Flood at Coachella, I would lose my fucking MIND.
They Might Be Giants don't seem like a super obvious Bottlerock booking. But hey, they got The Dandy Warhols this year.
The three DC/NY dates in the middle of April are what keep me from thinking they'll play Coachella; would be an odd tour route. But it'd be fun if it happens!

Let's say that get a 90 minute set, I think they do: (Parachutes) Shiver, Yellow, Trouble | (Rush of Blood) The Scientist, Clocks, In My Place | (X&Y) - Fix You, Speed Of Sound | (Viva La Vida) Viva La Vida, Violet Hill, Lovers In Japan | (Mylo Xyloto) Princess Of China, Paradise, Every Tear Drop | (Ghost Stories) Sky Full of Stars | (Head Full of Dreams) Hymn For The Weekend, Adventure of a Lifetime. And then a couple from each of the new albums. So yeah mostly singles.
But I'm actually excited at the thought of them playing. Think we're assuming the unknown headliners are a combination of Coldplay, Travis, Frank, Lana, or Rihanna right? And there's apparently a chance for a co-headline day this year. I think I'd personally be fine with any of those other than Lana.. I like her the least from the bunch although I love NFR. Rage Against the Machine / Frank Ocean + Travis Scott / Coldplay OR Rihanna would be pretty awesome. Frank doing an hour set at 10ish and then Travis doing an hour 11:45-12ish would be great.
