Well, let's hope some of those additions next week are pretty decent. I'm still heavily debating whether I should get 3 day passes or wait for daily passes and hope LCD soundsystem + temples/pond/a few others are on the same day.
I've become unreasonably obsessed with Carseat Head Rest. Also, do we know what day we are getting the additions? For some reason, I have just kinda assumed that we will get them tomorrow.

I tried getting into Car Seat Headrest. Listened to teens of style / denial a few times to try and let it sink in. But idk, just not my thing.

I believe Thursday. A quick glance at my emails show they sent me some about artist additions "are here" type emails on 2/12/2015 and 2/5/2016, which are both Thursdays. Double checked with their fb postings and it's the same days.

Disappointed in the Ryan Adams addition. Its really turning into the 2015 lineup. Excited for Saint Motel, although they will be in ATL in April so I don't really see a point
Ok I think I'm ready to go ahead and buy my ticket. Tickets are $159 on stubhub right now, is it worth waiting to see if the price drops? Any advantage with buying straight from the shaky knees website?

Buying from the Shaky website is always safer in my opinion. Stubhub has always seemed fishy

Stubhub is fine (aside from the fact that it makes ticket scalping super easy and stubhub can go die) if you really need tickets and a show is sold out.
While it is cheaper on stubhub at the moment, you still have to wait on the wristbands being shipped to the person who bought them (expected mid/late April), then have them ship those to you in time for the fest.
I only use stubhub if I'm REALLY desperate because something like bots bought all the tickets for a show and if the tickets are electronically transferable.

I agree, the ONLY time I'll use a site like StubHub or Vividseats is when I'm extremely desperate for a show that's sold out. Otherwise I buy through the original seller. But I definitely say buy off the SK site to prevent any fraud risks

Noticed they're lessening the number of stages this year. Replied to an Instagram comment where they said "There will be less stages this year, but more acts on each stage."

Both solid additions. Yeah, more 2015. For the most part, they're bands I skipped reluctantly or only caught part of their set. Again, adding bands to an already tight schedule. Is there another fest with this many artists who have survived on three stages. I don't wanna mega short sets. I enjoyed how many of the sets I saw were an hour plus.

Shaky Beats had 3 stages last year, and around 40 bands but each day started around 2-3. They did 17 acts Saturday. SK this year will have an average of 63/3 = 21 bands a day this year so I think it's doable.
Granted, they had really short times in between acts because of the nature of electronic music concerts and instruments.

Anyone have the inside scoop on stage layout this year? Sounds like things could be cramped with fewer stages. I would not necessarily miss the shipping container overpass if they ditched the stages near the Georgia Dome.
Agreed, I'm not in any way disappointed to see him. His Sloss Fest set was one of my favorite shows that I saw last year. I just felt like that spot would've been perfect for someone like Father John Misty who also has a new album coming but has never played this fest before. Plus I was secretly hoping Ryan would do a headlining show at the Fox Theatre instead of a festival show. Regardless, I'm just glad he's coming back to Atlanta.
Man, I really don't care about Ryan Adams or Saint Motel being added, ugh, just more 2015. They're killing me. It'll be nice to lay in the back of the field and listen to Ryan again but I'm really hoping for someone I actually care about and want to see badly. Oh well, still got the undercard and the headliners I love + Pixies and the Shins
If the same company is booking for Shaky Knees and Bonnaroo, why are Ryan Adams and Pixies playing Shaky Knees again after only two years? Those two artists would have been great at Bonnaroo, especially considering they've never played. Then Shaky Knees could have gotten something like Weezer and Sigur Ros instead.
