KOL was before Jay Z and Stevie Wonder in 2010. Bonnaroo is crazy.
A bonkers billing indeed, but there is no chance in hell they'll be put above Eminem. I'm having a hard time thinking of anyone who would be billed over Em right now.
Eh they can be switched, I'm not beholden to my terrible mock.

with the weeknds already absurdly high booking price + starboy single success (album will probably do great also) i cant see the weeknd being any lower than a 2.

hmm. well lets just say that the album does really well and he wont be below a 2 after that.
So I missed the year Eminem played... what was bad about it? Genuinely curious
Seeing Eminem live is a lot like playing Eminem in your car and singing along.
He has no live band, his backing track includes the vocals, and he raps about 1/3rd of the lines, while his hype-man randomly blurts out the other third.

He had a live band and the backing track was just the choruses, but whatever.

That is correct. Seems like people liked it, others didn't (generally how people respond to a hip-hop show). I had a great time!
Not that I don't think The Weeknd is a headliner or anything, because I do, but that voodoo lineup's number four is G-Eazy, and probably not a good reference point for roo billing one way or the other. After the top three it goes downhill real quick.
Have any larger-tier fests (ie not made in America or the meadows) billed the Weeknd that high?

#1 at hangout for what turned out to not really be exclusive

The only awesome part of his set was bringin' out Royce Da 5'9. But instead of the song "Bad Meets Evil" it was to promote their new side project Bad Meets Evil, which I remember enjoyin'. The set overall though was just lackin' in my opinion. I'm not a Jay-Z fan, but what I caught of his set was so good the year before I was late to Theivery Corporation. Eminem though I really enjoyed his first three or four albums. But he only played songs from those albums in medleys or much shortened versions.
We also had camp neighbors across the road that were there to only see Eminem and made that quite apparent. And the day of his set they aggressively asked everyone who was walkin' by who they were goin' to see.

Speaking of reunions, apparently this guy is going to be the new lead singer of Stone Temple Pilots. Crazy how much he sounds exactly like Scott Weiland.
Not that that has anything to do with Bonnaroo or headliners. But then again neither does a quasi SHM reunion (at least the headliner part).
