It's based on his tour dates. If people want to be stubborn and ignore reasonable logic, they could still argue it's possible, but that would really just mean they're in denial. Waters isn't playing.

I mean I honestly wouldn't care to see him myself. He is in Cali on June 7 and again on June 12th so he has a 4 day gap. Finishes Sunday night at 10 and could be back in Cali by 11pm WestCoast time.
Depeche Mode needs to happen...they'll be in the US the spring/summer. They're MUCH more likely to do Coachella or Lolla tho. The only time I saw DM was back in 2011 and they were fantastic.
I'd consider returning to Coachella if they book Depeche Mode.
Side note, I am most likely heading to Europe to catch a couple Depeche Mode shows this summer.
For those who haven't seen them live I highly recommend it, especially if it's just to watch Fletch try to find something to do.
i'm sure i've said this before, but i saw depeche mode in 2009 and the only gripe i have is the amount of times Gahan called for the crowd to sing a line. At that particular show at Lakewood he did not sing the chorus to "Never Let Me Down Again" at all, the crowd sang it every time as he thrust the microphone towards us.
in my perfect world the performing artist NEVER demands the crowd does anything, but i understand the excitement an artist can get by having the crowd sing their lyrics back to them. so yeah, once a song is acceptable I suppose, but every single chorus? come on dave.
but other than that small complaint, they put on a killer show. also at that show some random dude in the crowd was handing out backstage passes and my then girlfriend/now wife and her friend got to go backstage and meet martin gore. pretty dope. we went to r. thomas deluxe grill for the first time that night after the show.
many years later i went to r. thomas deluxe grill after a phish show and andre 3000 was there.
do y'all want to hear more stories from my life? i have more i could share.

I have seen Depeche Mode several times throughout the 90s and 00s, plus their newly renewed shows. They have never disappointed. If they are booked somewhere around you, definitely check that show out.

I've noticed lately that some of the older artists do it occasionally on particularly high or difficult notes and started to wonder if it's not a way of avoiding a crack or just to give the voice a rest for a minute. Not sure if that's the case for Gahan, because he sounded incredible when I saw them a couple years ago, but was definitely the case with Daltrey a couple weeks ago.

I've seen bands bring up members of the audience to play guitar before... I'd really love to see a band slowly replace themselves until you realize you've payed $89 bucks to watch a cover band.

Gwar
Seriously?
My one regret is being so exhausted after a rocking Clutch set in 2010 that I missed Gwar...

Yeah after Oderus died a few years ago, none of the original members are left. Bummer you missed that set; it was pretty fun. They jumped into the crowd and led a parade to the fountain to try and turn the water into blood.

Huh? They're going to be in Europe literally the entire May-July period next year.
Sorry, I meant for Coachella than Roo. I read that they'll be doing promo shows in the spring, hopefully Coachella, and back in August for a full tour.
