Unless the 3rd headliner is WSP in which they could announce that before the 3rd set of tickets go on sale ($229) which might bring all the Panic fans in?
I think that would be the right school of thought.
My two cents... this line up is not worthy of the effort and cost that it takes to go down to Gulf Shores. For the wife and I, it would be like $2,000-$2,500 for just a GA experience. Additionally. there are probably about 10 acts that I would want to see. Of these 10 acts, 8 of them I either caught at Lollapalooza 2012 or will catch at Roo 2013(guessing at the Roo line up).
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

Gonna piss and moan a bit! This lacks cache; it would be great for HO two years ago; I think this is a step back overall unless the 3rd headliner has more commericial appeal. I like the idea of Phoenix or Yeahs x 3, or Mum could still be the word. The top is heavy on hippitty hop and jam, so the third will possibly be a more commercial add. They added RHCP afterwards, so HO could still be someone big. The shins are a great get, ellie goulding is solid as well. And I second the chancellor warhol fans- killer at Lolla last year. Check out Bright Light Social Hour as well- very cool band out of San Antonio.

LOL @ no Paul after that restaurant posted the picture of the yellow submarine on Facebook.
I'd guess that third headliner is Mumford, and they're just waiting for Mumford to announce their full summer tour (which I would guess will probably come shortly after the Bonnaroo announcement).
It takes more than an hour to negotiate with acts that big. There are too many interested parties, each with their own interests and attorneys, that have to sign off on the details.
They can agree in principle. It does not take a week and a half to get an agreement.
For someone getting 1M+, the least they can do is agree let them put you in their announcement.
For someone who claims to understand how this stuff works, it seems like you should understand the implications of announcing a headliner you haven't actually signed yet.

But really, Public Enemy?? As much as I'd love to hear something a rant about Jews and Gays.... no thanks.....it is 2013 isn't it? Get this garbage out of here.

Never said I know that. Just because you know someone that does something, doesn't mean you do.

They need to pull Anthrax so they can pull this out.

MF Grouplove. GD. 60-70% chance I have to choke one of my crew for talking about them. Do they even have enough songs to fill a set? Or will they just scream "take me to your best friends house" x265? ... Conversely, WAHOO to Jim James/Bloc Party/Breeders/Best Coast/Dirty Projectors. Excited for some Sheepdogs, Weeks, Moon Taxi et. al.
It's crazy because just this week a Bloc Party song came on Pandora and I was like "damn these guys are really good" and I started to listen to more songs. I was like "man it would be awesome if Roo or Hangout got them this year but that would be a random get". Then today I see them on the lineup. So cool.
I'm really hoping KoL is on Friday with Bassnectar in the tent at the same time. Would definitely be fine with not seeing KoL.
I hope bassnectar is on the small stage blaring music so loud it drowns out KOL. The KOL swims out into the ocean as far as the eye can see and never comes back.

Saw Grouplove for free at a Chipotle fest at a park here. They were actually a lot of fun. There's like 40 people in the band and it was just a big dance party. Give em a chance!
EDIT: Best Coast also played and I liked Grouplove better. Ladyfriend just seemed bored of being there.

Seconded. I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed them at Roo last year.
How much stock are we putting in the blurred artist/band being third? Got really excited at the thought of Eminem being the third headliner. He's obviously bigger than KoL, but Hangout has lacked hip-hop, maybe they would put him third?
I posted this link before, but it's Paul of Shady Records talking about Eminem in 2013. No official album announcement "yet" (after Memorial Day, but Eminem will probably have 2 new singles out by HMF) US dates in 2013 "in the works"

I saw them at Lolla 2008 and they were fantastic live. I'd always loved their albums, and they definitely didn't disappoint live. It didn't hurt that they were on the main stage right before Radiohead...
Also, I would recommend checking out the Silent Alarm Remix album. It's a really good remix album. The Intimacy Remix album is good too, but I don't think it's quite on the same level. Of course, I could never really get into Intimacy as much as their other stuff in general.
Is there any serious speculation/rumor about the third headliner??
