I'm surprised John Butler Trio, Donavon Frankenreiter and Citizen Cope haven't been to this fest yet. All three would make for great vibes on the beach... Possible additions?
Yeah, I doubt it's a jam band. They have that covered. The top line is missing a Mumford type. I bet they would have snapped up the Black Keys if Jazz Fest hadn't already booked them. Phoenix would fit.
Jazzfest has Phoenix too though.
I keep forgetting that Phoenix is at Jazz. No wonder Hangout is scrambling.
I still don't believe Outkast. The only thing that makes it seem at all plausible is the lack of Big Boi dates. He said he'd be everywhere promoting his new album, but that hasn't panned out yet. Still, even if Outkast did get back together, Hangout isn't going to pull that one off.

I dunno, on the other hand, HUKA seems to be getting balls deep in hip hop with Buku and Hangout this year.
I count 6 acts I'd want to see on the lineup. Of those 6, I've already seen 3, and will have seen a 4th before Hangout. Pretty weak effort this year, IMO.
Is it weird that I know like 3 bands total in the bottom 6 lines? I mean I typically don't know a lot of the bottom halves of festie lineups, but it's never been this bad...
Guys. I don't know how many times I have to tell you this. Mumford and Sons isnt coming.
Third headliner is presumably a big name that is havig a tough time wrangling or it's slim pickings after missing out on Macca.
If they're willing to wrangle a big act, wouldn't they possibly be willing to meet Mumford's price now? They don't have a ton of options.
I don't think that would have taken a delay though? The fall through has been about a week. It wouldn't take but an hour to call up Mumford's manager and negotiate.

It takes more than an hour to negotiate with acts that big. There are too many interested parties, each with their own interests and attorneys, that have to sign off on the details.

Mumford makes sense- but maybe its someone (like Jack White) who has a ton of projects and has a new solo/new project coming out/already out? Can't see another jam band with TAB, Mule and moe. already posted- but I would be great with Furthur or someone like that.
But they're listed 3rd, so presumably not as big as Tom Petty or KoL.
Wouldn't be surprised if that is TBD. Would look awfully weird to have a lineup poster and the very first name be blurred out.
Until they release the actual poster, all the order is subject to change. They have moved people up and down lines as the revisions come out before.
Sure, I guess it's possible. However, tickets go on sale Friday. It wouldn't make much sense to announce their #1 act after tickets go on sale. If Friday comes and goes and that is still blurred out, I wouldn't expect much if I were you.

They can agree in principle. It does not take a week and a half to get an agreement.
Unless the 3rd headliner is WSP in which they could announce that before the 3rd set of tickets go on sale ($229) which might bring all the Panic fans in?
