'09 Of Montreal at Roo was amazing. definitely one of my favorite ever festival shows... regarding the poster, is there reasonable way to claim a "leak"? "caught a glimpse of this at the Brett-Robinson office booking my condo! WOOHOO!"???
Yet it is in this loneliness that the deepest activities begin. It is here that you discover act without motion, labor that is profound repose, vision in obscurity, and, beyond all desire, a fulfillment whose limits extend to infinity.

Once again: they don't care about the people who are nervously trying to finalize travel plans. All of the fence-sitters can go to Waka, EFF, Governors Ball, or Mountain Jam, and Hangout will still sell out in advance. It's obnoxious that the lineup isn't out yet, especially with no word from Hangout on when it's coming, but this delay isn't going to hurt them as long as they can slap together 3 well known headliners, a handful of noodlers, and enough untz to fill the tent for 3 days.
I've read this multiple times, but weren't condos basically giving away VIP passes last year because the fest had to get rid of them for cheap?
I personally can't afford VIP at this or any festival so I don't know if a delayed lineup release affects these potential customers as much as your average fest goer. I just don't really count last year as a sellout.

Hmmmm... of Montreal has three tour dates right now in the first week on March; Athens>Greenville SC>Savannah, GA
I hope they are in the US this summer instead of Europe as a Hangout show will give my fix since they prob aren't playing Mobile again till Fall Tour. I'm on show #16 or 17 now....... only band I've seen more is WSP.

There were more people there in 2012 than 2011 and both were technically sold out. See what had happened was... Some condos were given a bunch of VIP tix to sell to people booking hetti expensive condos in an attempt to make more money last minute because they realized with their expansion of the VIP area last year, they could pack more people in there. And boy was that obvious during RHCP...VIP was backed assshole to elbows. Probably was for DAAAAAAVVVVEEEEEE too, but I didn't get in there to find out.

I stand fully expecting to be corrected....
I meant GA passes are a lock to sell out, VIP is a different beast. GA sold out on February 21st last year. I'm not sure how a delayed lineup release would affect VIP sales, but I figured they couldn't sell those packages last year because of the extreme hike in prices and a lineup that skewed younger than the previous two years. Either way, the complaints in both this thread and on the Facebook page don't seem to be coming from people who are looking at VIP packages.
This F-book post is priceless. This is by far the best day on this board. When misfits come together for the greater good; great things happen, like driving people mad on F-book!
I shot an e-mail to a fellow media person in Mobile, but all he said was the lineup was coming "in a few days." He also said what everyone else has heard, that they've kept a very tight lid on things. A friend in Mobile who works shows in the area didn't know anything. Sounds like they're working very hard to keep this quiet. I hope it means it's a lineup I like because It would be hard for me to change vacations at this point. Not to mention, I'm missing some sweet condo deals by waiting.

Well it looks like I can stay off these boards til Sunday at least. Definitely won't though.
Well, depends on your definition of "few." I think he would have told me if he heard a day, but I only know him by name. But he's covered the fest and I just hit him up to see what I could find out. He's as good a contact as any, more than, "a kid on the street said ... " You know what I mean. But I'd keep up because at this point, they could announce something this afternoon.
So, some cat on facebook suggested Hangout's delay is due to their waiting on Pearl Jam to release Wrigley Field tickets. I'm not in the biz, didn't write the contracts and don't have a HO or PJ contact but this would be sweet. Those tickets go on sale Saturday so I'd assume a line-up (by our democratically selected board rules) Tuesday that would include Pearl Jam. Both would be great. Can anyone kill this rumor?

Pearl Jam just played DeLuna and Shaul has even said in printed interviews he wouldn't go after PJ for this year.
