Im surprised with this many people talking about the only fest in US without latenight music, no one is discussing it. If im not mistaken they dropped an email in the summer about buying a new venue 3 miles from the main site and stay tuned for details. Havent heard anything since

Yea I didn't bother with late night shows last year.
Hangin' out on the beach at night after a day of raging is just perfect. Way better than being in a club full of spunion kids. If they get late night shows worth a crap I might go to one. EOTO was not gonna do it for me last year. However, Tony Clifton late night in 2011 stole my face......and my heart!

So, some cat on facebook suggested Hangout's delay is due to their waiting on Pearl Jam to release Wrigley Field tickets. I'm not in the biz, didn't write the contracts and don't have a HO or PJ contact but this would be sweet. Those tickets go on sale Saturday so I'd assume a line-up (by our democratically selected board rules) Tuesday that would include Pearl Jam. Both would be great. Can anyone kill this rumor?
Matt Cameron has two commitments with Soundgarden the weekend of Hangout. NJ 5/18 and Rock on the Range either 5/17 or 5/19. The Soundgarden website has them listed the 17th and 19th for RotR, an obvious error.
So if you want to hold out a small sliver of hope for PJ or Soundgarden, there's technically still a chance. Soundgarden would involve lugging gear from AL-NJ-OH or OH-NJ-AL, PJ probably just means Matt catching a flight.
I emailed the fake poster to a buddy who put it on his FB (I don't do FB, I think it's for people who need lot's of attention) and he said folks are going nuts. HA. HA. ha.
All festivals i pass on every year. Just saying, EDM aint my bag, but it really loses its appeal at 2 in the afternoon
My point was that they are far from the only US festival without late night shows, and 11pm is actually an hour later than many (most?) outdoor city fests.

Not trying to argue with you, you are clearly ocd when it comes to accuracy of casual festy convo but other than the 3 festivals you mentioned that take place in urban city parks usually and people stay in the own beds or hotels, lets say the top 25 legit, top tier 3 day fests almost always have music past 11pm. Accept it dude
