There was a post on the Wanee forum from someone who is assumed to have inside information. The post was pretty vague, and a bit annoying. It said something like
"Hang tight, we will be releasing the whole schedule at once, not a few bands at a time like we did last year"
I don't understand the hold up. Its 3 weeks away for crying out loud!!

Yup, that's pretty annoying...
I haven't got my ticket yet, but still planning on it! Planning on getting there bout noon thursday, will primitive camping spots be hard to come by at that point or plenty available? This will be my 1st Wanee, been to SOS a few times though...
Hey guys, old-time boarder here, haven't been on in a couple years, but it's looking more and more like I'll be doing Wanee solo this year. Went for the first time last year and it was love at first campsite. Scrog and Spun, you guys seem to be the ringleaders here, so I'd like to invite myself along with you guys, maybe.
All the first-timers, been to Bonnaroo 06-08, Rothbury in 09, and Wanee is my favorite festival I've been to. Venue is epic. Showers and flushing toilets don't hurt. And the river, of course.
Come on old time boarder, I will be getting there early, looking at sometime Tuesday. I have a specific spot I am looking at. I will be able to save a lot of land for tents and such, but a lot of cars might be another issue. Well not really, you can park your car less than a 5 minute walk away. So I will be able to have a spot to pitch a tent, but depending on how many people I do that for, depends on who parks at camp and who parks in the "Lot".
Gov't Mule will be playing Saturday on the big stage before Furthur. I got this info from Stef Scamardo on XM. For those that don't know, in addition to being a DJ on XM'S Jam On channel, she is married to Warren and manages Gov't Mule.

Ah man that's a sweet spot for sure. We have a nice spot up at the top we like, on the river around the lowest point of the bend, up and to the right of the little playground. We happened upon it after somehow getting my car onto what we later found out was a bike trail. Really nice spot, but kinda out of the way.
And it gets a little lonely in the woods at night...just you and the velociraptors.

I don't like that spot between the store and the mushroom stage. Ya gotta walk by like 10 cops w/ a K9 pretty often to get into the fest from there. I like the lake/shower areas way better.

That's nasty. Not sure where we'll end up postin' up, but we should get up dude. You gonna try to make the BOS/SOS M&G?

The M&G is the day before I get there. I'll have a badge though and I always say hey to everyone else that has them. We'll def get up at some point!
Gotchya, yeah it's a little early, we are gonna be pushin' it but I think we'll still be able to make it to the grounds a couple hours b4 it goes down. I PM'd WaneeLover trying to get a couple badges for the lady and I, but haven't heard anything back from 'em yet...
Edit: I feel real dumb... didn't realize I could just edit the format and print it myself.
Short-cut is like Chefchick said, on this map, just below the three trees next to Amphitheater. IRL, across from the swing set that is next to the bath house, this is just outside the Amphitheater/mushroom stage gate, are lights in the trees. Short-Cut starts just past those lights and cuts to the road that goes behind the Mushroom stage and to the general store/barn stage/bar area, which is also the best way to get to the general store/ barn stage/bar area, because you do not go by the cops and K9s.

Scrog- I'm camping with some chicks that are going out there the Sunday before the fest, the area you are talking about by the bathhouses......is any of that reserved camping?? I can't remember where all the reserved spots are I don't want them to set up somewhere they shouldn't.

Glad I can stop checking buy why so LAAATE? Oh well, it doesn't really matter that much with just two stages, one late-night, etc. You kinda get what you get. But still, I'm trying to obsess here.

In the past the area around the bath house is reserved camping. I camp just outside that area. If you see an electric hook up outlet thing, than you are in reserved.
Okay it took a while, longer than I wanted, but I am here to announce, Short-cut camp has gone totally Rad and will be, 'Cutting it through the 80s!''. that is right, bring your neon, your checkered board, your boom box. Actually that is what I need, I will not have music. Why? Well you can hear the music from the festival and when that music goes off it seems most people are going to bed, I say most. and I do not have speakers or even an Ipod or mp3 player or any of that. Then again we are at SOSMP and Wanee has all the sounds I need. If you are walking from the the lake area or leaving, South, out the Amphitheater gate, staying to the LEFT, LEFT before you pass the bath house, There is a swing set next to the bath house(at night the will be STINGLIGHTS lights in the trees at this spot) just down the road from that, East, will be some 80'sNEON, and that will be a short cut over to the road that goes, North, behind the Amphitheater and comes out behind the Music Hall and bar Pool and the general store area. If you are heading towards the Music Hall, from Pine field, lot B the Lake and surrounding areas, this way stays in the 'camgrounds' and goes around the 'festival grounds'. On the Map above, will be just North and a little to the East of the swing set, which is behind the Amphitheater. I plan on arriving on Tuesday, here is to hoping my "spot" is not taken. Hope to see you all at Wanee!

schedule looks nice not really any conflicts for me
Only a couple for me... Wanted to see Bonerama real bad, but they got lined up right on the 1st set of Further. Still not sure what I'll be bailin' on though. Also, I was hoping the ABB would have 2 three hour sets w/ 2 sets each show, but it looks like they only got 2 two and a half hour sets... That's just me bein' greedy though!

I personally think its frittated to have North Mississippi All Stars as the last late night set, and Have EOTO going against Furthur's last hour (which where they will probably be fully in stride).
NMAS should be swapped with EOTO IMO. But Other than that, I think they did a fantastic job I like it.
