Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
There are more than a few gems on the Hangout undercard as well with about 30 unnamed acts left. Bonnaroo is obviously a more robust and diverse festival than Hangout. I've been to both, am going to both, and love them both. I just think the two are very comparable in quality this year.
is it even fair to compare yet? Released lineup vs. tweets & leaks?
make that call when you see them both.
True but we do know a lot more than we did a week ago.
Outkast? Big Boi is far more relevant than Outkast at this point. Pretty sure Bonnaroo isn't on the cutting edge of reunions anyways. Would be a pleasant, albeit shocking surprise. Eminem? Boring. Please. Maybe if he collaborated with a good on-stage producer or if he brought along Dido. Gorillaz? Is Bonnaroo Coachella's leftovers now? If we're talking nostalgic acts, how about Wu-tang? They sold out 2nd tier venues on their latest tour and headline smaller festivals. That's who want playing after Black Keys anyways. F all the aforementioned groups.
My source was right on another headliner so I think Portishead is legit. Who cares if they and Massive Attack are both Trip-Hop. It's a lucky coincidence. Is anyone going to complain about both of them? My guess is that Massive Attack ends up in a tent. Portishead/MMJ/Primus late-nights.
not coincidence. These lineup are carefully scheduled. If they have one big trip hop draw they dont need another. And theyd both get which slots. MAssive is arguably bigger than portishead. They're not using the fri and sat late night stage slots on trip hop. It seems improbable. But if you wan't to at least attempt to convince me otherwise give me the history. Give the story with details (whichever details you can)
I don't post much and don't get me wrong, bc I love Bonnaroo, but...I think this is what makes this festival not as great as it can be. Its these formulas. Who cares if there is already one trip hip. If there is another great trip hop group that can be booked, then get them. Where's the Rap headliner? Who cares? just book some great hip hop folk no matter where they fit. There can be only one headliner per night, that plays un-opposed, then schedules a bunch of great acts at the same time / overlapping one another after the headliner...wtf. We are grown ups. we can decide who we want to see. Keep the music going during the headliners. I wish they can just schedule acts Thursday through Monday morning in a way that makes it fun. Screw the politics. (btw, I know my grammar sucks)...(also, I hate trip hop)
Just trying to clear the air before Im banished. Where are those names Jess?
Read the proceeding page, they were wrong enough to where he was not correct. Like I said for the start he is in a job to more know who is touring than playing a specific festival. There is no point posting shit that was not legitimate, but if Arcade Fire is there, no Furthur, and MMJ has a LN then he was wrong. What he said that was pretty legit was Radiohead has no plans to come to the US any time soon, and I would know. This is why I posted it, there is no point throwing out names that will excite people until you start to see some independent confirmations.
You need to calm the fuck down dude this is not a game show it is just people discussing music, and a festival they love.
If the "trip-hop" rule of one applies, what if Massive Attack isnt on the bill. Portishead would make as much sense as anyone else.I think they can both play, personally.

Personally I'd prefer that over the other aforementioned options but I don't think they're big enough for a top 3. They need a pretty big name at this point with the state of this line-up
Guys, nobody should be pissy right now. Compared to the top of last year's line-up, and really any time, we've already got a great fest coming up. Come on guys!
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
yeah, no one's getting banned since the info you had been guarding like the two stone tablets didn't pan out. Even though we had a gentleman's agreeement. Did your guy know Widespread was coming?

I agree. I like the bands but it's something I'd expect more for a smaller fest.
So after reading all those shenanigans I would like to say the day time Black Keys show at Waka was still amazing and they will be just grand as a pre-HL. Also, someone said that SCI is confirmed, can someone please share this with me?

Whoa... this is out of context. I was referring to Wu tang... theyre not big enough for a top 3 spot.
I ALSO agree with the way you took it... our headliners so far don't seem usual top 3 material. But they're good and they're EXACTLY THE BANDS EVERYONE HERE WANTED so I don't think everyone should freak
That's the thing...from the bands that were actively touring and available to us this year, I think we made out like a bandit. Just my opinion, though.

I'm really not freaking, just legitimate criticisms. I'm content enough for now.
