I love bonnaroo. I've been the last 3 years. I only live 2 hrs from Manchester, so not going seems stupid. However, last year's roo was a horse of a different color. While the music I saw was as amazing as ever, the crowd has changed. Everything seemed to take more effort and I ran into some mean staff.
Suffice to say, I've visited some other, smaller festivals and I think that's where it's at. Smaller crowds, better service, more intimate sets.
I don't think bonnaroo can come up with the artists to sell me this year. While it is not only the closest festival of the year, it's also usually the best. Sadly, I plan on taking my business to a better fest.
I just hope bonnaroo can stay fresh and sign the best acts. The glory days have come and gone. It's all down here from. More Panic, more shityy Phil Lesh type headliners. It's old news. Sorry to bring y'all down. I really wish roo can pull it off this year.
well calling phil lesh sh.itty probably wont get ya very far at smaller fests either. phil and wsp suck but rhcp should headline? and your sad ya missed cypress hill. maybe ya should got to coachella.

I with you guys! I moved from an hour away (Chattanooga) to Jacksonville this past year but still would never miss roo! The memories of my first year (2003) will be permanently grained upon my brain forever. I remember when my friends and I first got there and said "Holy shit this is the greatest place on earth!" I have faith that the lineup will not disappoint as in years past.
Every year when I first set eyes on the farm I know I made the right decision. I want to explore other festivals, and I might hit All Good this summer, but I don't think I could bring myself to miss Bonnaroo.
yeah I'm excited to hit other festivals for the first time too (well other than vegoose, which is kinda different from most festivals I think!)... but roo is my top priority! I can't think of any kind of line-up change that could change the greatness of that place for me, short of an all britney-spears-type lineup ;D
.... actually even then, I might just go to camp! hehe

Well I will say, that as much as I love Bonnaroo, my funds only allow me one large festival a year. So I must choose wisely. If I had a ton of money or lived closer, I'd be there every year, regardless of the line-up. But the line-up kinda makes it or breaks it. I didn't go in 2005 cause I just wasn't that excited about the line-up, and I went on an amazing trip to Seattle/Vegas/Southern Cali. So it all kinda depends on your situation. I want very badly to go this year, and I expect to be there. But I also want to go to spread my wings and go to Coachella, and Bumbershoot, maybe even Glastonbury one of these years. So when that happens I won't be going to Roo. I just can't get stuck on one fest. I need to see what else is out there, but I will always be back. I think that's safe to say
