So here's my plan for saturday
-Steaking out a place at 'what' stage when it opens to set up a spot for radiohead -staying there until elvis is done-running to 'this' tent to see some of blues traveler -then leaving that early to see claypool at 'that' tent -then going back to radiohead.
So my question is, how far away are these tents and stages from each other? am i going to have to be running 3 miles to get to every other stage/tent? someone let me know please.
it's not really that far.. but with all the people, it'll take you about 10-15 minutes or so to get over to the tents. and it depends on what set just ended and where everyone is heading.
Running won't be necessary - there will be a crowd moving to those acts with the same thoughts as you. Should take about 10 mins to get from Elvis>Blues Traveler, maybe 5 mins from Blues Traveler>Les (the tents are all pretty close). Don't sweat it, enjoy!
if anything i would say it would be nice if they were farther apart. for one it would even out the walking for those in the boonies and ive been to a few shows that i thoguht it took away because you could hear the other stages. plus the farther aparyt the stages are the louder they can be

Yeah i've noticed that the headliners are alot louder than the other shows on the main stage and that might be one of the reasons other bands dont play during headliners, so they can crank it up... Just a thought.
You will make it brother, I'm trying to catch more than that, but I will have people strategically placed in groups for spots and I always dance my way up front.

yea, i have a few friends from my school going.
so far, the three other guys i'm going with also decided that they also want to see blues and claypool over staying at our spot for beck.
So i have a few other guys to ask, but worse case scenario is i'll just stay around for a nice spot for Beck. I'm not too worried about that, it is Beck, not Michael Bolton.
Actually I never really heard other bands playing while I was at a stage/tent. Walking around there are spots where you can hear all the bands going on. But for the most part all the tents and stages are close enough so it's not too close and not too far.
