Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Since Jack Johnson is headlining, possible we could see some special guests- G LOve, Ben Harper, Dave Mathews(they are playing together 4/19,4/20 w/ Tim Reynolds), Matt Costa,Mason Jennings, etc.
Metallica- ummmm, dont know?I'll be drinking my Miller w/ the devil horns held high, and headbanging. ;D
Pearl Jam - Neil Young appearance maybe><><
Headliners know they have to bring it at Bonnaroo, and I bet they give every effort!

i really hope ben harper is there...way better for that theme than jack johnson...he was awesome last year....sorry everyone for being pessimistic about metallica...i still think they will suck but im going anyways, for the experience i love, along with the music..at first i disagree with the people who say its all about the people and the vibe...because in my opinion it is not...no one would be there without the amazing music...that being said...i do not want to let shitty headliners ruin MY and OUR festival...sorry guys...it just gets really disappointing when we have had epic shows such as radiohead recently....in my opinion metallica is the antithesis of bonnaroo..thats why i and many of my compatriots feel the sellout..but really, inspite of the gross headlining schedule...i am really excited about (hopefully latenight) sigur ros, phil lesh, mmj, lupe/talib, yonder, and also, bb king (THE man of blues) willie nelson, (THE man of hippies +/country) not to mention allman bros, umphreys, death cab, the raconteurs, etc...
while it may not be a traditional roo...hopefully it can still be a good one...
sorry about being negative before...i was just shocked, as im sure some of your are/were....
ireally hope neil young shows to play with PJ...somehow/miraculously/hopefully there will be an amazing superjam...if not zep then i hope to god that jack white plays....

I'll take either LCD Soundsystem, The Cure, The Mars Volta, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Streets, Cat Power or of course, Zeppelin.. If I don't get either, I guess i'll survive. But one of those seven would really sweeten the pot. : )

OK, haven’t posted in a while since this thread absolutely blew up (again) at midnight Tuesday. Here are some thoughts for consideration: Unequivocally, the late night shows are what we are all truly yearning to hear announced, as this slot will be far more fun than any of the headliners' slots. So, one has to wonder, and pray that who they really want to see actually plays that time slot. Aren't there only 6 of those spots up for grabs? 3 Friday night and 3 Saturday night?
1) Kanye, according to someone on this board, launched a glow in the dark tour- he is probably a late night lock- Galactics spot last year. 2) Allmans' site says they play Saturday- a lock for the spot Govt Mule had last year (surely they will not play in the day on the main stage prior to Pearl Jam?). 3) Phil Lesh needs, absolutely NEEDS a late night spot. I actually think he needs to replace Jack Johnson for the closer Sunday 4) My Morning Jacket is definitely a late nighter 5) maybe, just maybe Yonder Mtn in the SCI slot from last year 6) ?
Who else fits this spot? Maybe John Paul Jones, with friend's named Jimmy and Jason, along with a guy named Robert who is already at the festival? A band that Bonnaroo couldnt truly afford to announce for fear of what ticket scalpers might do?
Or, this is all hogwash and merely wishful thinking on my part.

^^^Good stuff, but I don't see Allmans or MMJ in the late night. Don't know how MMJ would be able to top the '06 late night. I'll bet they get a main stage slot pre-Pearl Jam this year. Sigur Ros and Ghostland Observatory definitely fit the late nights.
I too am having a hard time figuring out the time slots. Phil would be awesome late night, but I totally agree he should have the sunday headline. His website also announces a "very special acoustic set", which if its anything like in the fall - will be awesome.
I still hold out for a Primus/Les announcement - good fit for a late afternoon tent show or a late night.
A few other POP acts on tour with Kanye which may be added later or may be on stage with hime - Rihanna, N.E.R.D., and Lupe Fiasco. They are on tour with him, and whoever said it was a glow in the dark tour was correct, so gotta be late night show.

MMJ is defenetly one of the best live acts I've ever seen, and I will be seeing them regardless, but it BETTER be a late night set, I don't think they will open before Pearl Jam cause that's only an hour and a half slot and they really need 3+. At least I hope.

I've heard LCD on the 2nd round, and it would make some sense cause isn't someone from LCD also in !!! ? I believe so. Sunset Rubdown is going to England June 17th, maybe before they go over there?
And very, very unforunatley I don't think Volta will be there, they said they don't really like doing festivals, but rather clubs. And they aren't signed up for any festivals and if they were gonna do Bonnaroo I would think they would be on the first round.
Sigur Ros needs a latenight set. I don't know how we'd be able to watch them while the sun still shines.
Also, I'm fairly certain that The Mars Volta will be there. They were listed along with lots of the others from the initial lineup over at the New York Times website, which would lead me to believe that the Times is privy to some information that we are unaware of. I'd say that the probability of the Volta being there is extremely high.

I love phil lesh but I dont see myself getting super excited about a late night spot, Id rather see DSO do a latenight than him. How many late night slots were there last year? I think rusted root could handle one of those late night spots?

Every news story I'm reading has Kanye as a headliner along with PJ and Metallica. That guy's got such a huge ego I can picture him saying he will not play Bonnaroo unless he was one of the major headliners and not a second tier performer.
I would rather him be a pre-headliner or late night myself. I will be disappointed if they have him as the premier performer on one of the evenings.

I've seen that as well, but Bonnaroo.com, and Jack Johnson's website staes he is headlining.
So Jack Johnson is headlining over Kanye West? Kanye is huge; I think he should headline Friday or Saturday night, and Pearl Jam should close out the festival, with Johnson giving a strong Which Stage performance like White Stripes last year. Wouldn't Pearl Jam be an awesome finish?
Saul Williams is as good as in I'd say, on his last myspace buletin it says somehting to the effect of "All my friends in Georgia, Tennessee.... don't fret! I'll be down there." He hasn't listed anything past May
the word did some shows in the past few months... their set in 2005 was amazing. robert randolph is obviously already booked, and neither NMAS or john medeski have any dates scheduled past april.

I threw up in my mouth a little at the thought of having kayne west headline saturday night!

I agree with you and want to see them at night again. However, opening for Pearl Jam is exactly what they did at Lollapalooza last summer.
any idea of when the rest of bands will be announced? does it usually come in 1 large group, does it come in a couple of announcements, or do they just slowly trickle in as they are confirmed?
i guess the better question is are they already confirmed and superfly is just holding of the announcement?

If you're a Kanye fan you should want him to get a late night spot, maybe in one of the tents like the Superjam was in last year. If he's a headliner it's going to be packed. If it's in a tent with other options all around then you might actually be able to get close or have some room.

thanks for any responses.
It usually comes in 2 or 3 announcements. Usually one happens like a week or so after the initial lineup, too, so we may have something here soon.
