As much of a net addict i am, the idea never even occured to me while there. I know cell service is spotty, my phone died before completing anything but a couple of texts, so i wouldn't count on the other, or miss a minute of the fun trying.
They've had free Wi-Fi for the past couple of years, although I would never bring my laptop to 'Roo (I'm probably too paranoid about sticky fingers, but it's worked for me so far).
Supposedly. LIke above, we've never tried it. WE're VIP this year, so we're seperated from the normal camp, and I'm thinking of taking the laptop to give it a go.
If you watch the 04 DVD it shows some organizers backstage trying to send emails and they are having issues with the wi-fi... but that's backstage.
Last year we took a laptop (to post a real-time diary of the experience) and although they said there was wi-fi, we couldn't pick up a signal. We were out in BFE, though. We used the internet cafe (also free) for checking emails - plus, it had A/C so it was a nice place to chill for a bit between sets.
Just fyi, they do have a Bonnaroo radio station that gives great weather updates during the weekend. Plus there's the free Bonnaroo daily newspaper and it has the weather as well.
