Another shot of seeing Umphrey's with Bisco would make this complete for me, that and replacing Tool with REM, but I can live with Tool, I have enough friends with good taste in music who love them, they are just a little dark and grating for my taste.
"The only one you might have a case with is Trey who, when he headlined was just coming off the breakup of Phish and appealed to all the jamband crowd hoping to see a Phish show. "
Untrue. Both Times Trey headlined Phish was still together.

Tell me this can Tool sell out stadiums consistently like just about all of those other bands have a points in there career?
yes they can
If they could then why don't they? On there current tour they are playing all ampitheatres and arenas. There is a huge difference between selling out an arena and a 50000 person stadium.

For everyone that's upset about Tool: you're right. Don't try to be convinced. Enjoy yourself somewhere far from the concert, and the rest of us will have a lot more room.

I dont understand how you can argue they arent headliners when they have headlined Coachella twice. I would go as far as to say Tool has a larger fanbase then WSP.

When has solo Trey or Widespread Panic ever played stadiums? Let alone tour them?
Trey and WSP play smaller arenas & theatres & are regulars on the festival circuit, Tool goes on the road every five years or so. DMB, CSNY, Petty, etc have been playing the exact same places that Tool has toured in for the last decade.
people relax, remember there are still 20-30 more bands to be announced. Arcade Fire, Trey, MMJ, all your faves could easily be additions. If it's like last year, they'll announce a round right away.
Tool has a huge fan base. This is from Billboard.com from last May.
May 10, 2006, 11:00 AM ET Katie Hasty, N.Y. Rock acts dominate the top two slots on The Billboard 200 again this week, with Tool's "10,000 Days" taking the crown on more than double the sales of the latest from Pearl Jam.
The Tool Dissectional/Volcano set gave the band a career-best sales week, moving 564,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, to put it at No. 1. "10,000 Days" also takes over the lead from Godsmack's "IV" (Universal) on the Top Rock Albums chart.
Tool's last album, "Lateralus," also opened at No. 1 on the big chart in 2001 with sales of 555,000 units. It has sold more than 2.3 million to date.

Well, since Bonnaroo is now officially a four day festival, any chance of us getting 4 headliners? Maybe WSP thursday night and another big headliners added later to close up on sunday..or just another semi-big band to headline thursday night. Either would be cool with me.

I love the fact that when the headliners are playing no one else is playing so you pretty much have to watch Tool or go lay down somewhere. Coachella last year was my first time seeing Tool and they blew my ass out of the water. Brilliant visuals!!!! I wan't gonna go to Roo this year because on Coachella and Lolla but it looks like I'm gonna have to scrounge up some more moola someplace. Also, bring back MMJ

Anyone else pissing their pants over the White Stripes being there?!?! That in itself is enough for me to buy a ticket, not to mention all of the other sweet acts. That announcement just made my life complete.
