I am really disapointed in these headliners! If you look at every headlining act that has been to the 'Roo Tool is by far the weakest. And that doesn't mean I don't like Tool, I do, I just don't think they are headlining material for what is supposed to be the premier American festival. The Police are fine for what they are the suprise, one-of-a-kind act Bonnaroo is famous for but honestly I could take or leave'em. Widespread, interestingly, is the most traditional Bonnaroo headliner but if they are going to headline I think you need someone bigger than Tool for the second night. This is a huge let down and maybe the first Bonnaroo I don't go to
Yeah, a few additions are crucial, but I think that this lineup DOES have a bit for everyone. What's more - String Cheese Incident! I just realized they're on it and MAN and I pumped. Thank God I didn't have to wait all freaking night.

I think maybe you don't realize how big of a band worldwide Tool are..... They have a huge following. I think you may change your mind after seeing them live

When Tool tours they play 15,000-30,000 seat areana and amphitheatres & almost always sellout every show. They have headlined both the first Coachella festival & last year's event.
Also, Tool said they're going to do even more stuff to add to their live show.
What does suck right now is that there's no Les or Trey on the list, but they'll be there somehow I hope and pray. How cool are the White Stripes though? Jeez, that's great - I mean, they headlined a night at Glastonbury.
I can't say I am particularly a fan of any of the headliners, but on the plus side that just means I'll be sitting pretty for the late night acts.. PLus after the headliners the rest of the list is pretty darn great.
edit: And that is no offense to you who are fans of the headliners, just merely one person's perspective. I will see all of them and judge for myself.

I saw them maybe 7 or 8 years ago, I want to say it was at one of the old Lollapalooza shows, and they were awesome but look at the past headliners of the festival and tell me with a straight face that Tool is in the same league as The Dead, Tom Petty, DMB, Widespread, Neil Young and Trey. The only one you might have a case with is Trey who, when he headlined was just coming off the breakup of Phish and appealed to all the jamband crowd hoping to see a Phish show. Tell me this can Tool sell out stadiums consistently like just about all of those other bands have a points in there career?

I'm soooo with you. Headliners will be mellow for me, followed by dream-like intoxication from 11-7...

Regarding tool, would you have said the same thing about radiohead last year?

Wow. I wasn't planning on making the festival this year, but if this is true, I might just have to take one day off work, leave Thursday night for Manchester, and take off early Sunday (if Widespread headlines Sunday - since I'm seeing them at Langerado anyway). Wow. Wow. Wow.
Yeah I think the organizers hit the nail on the head - it's definitely a diverse, eclectic lineup. I'm glad that they got the 2 acts that everyone was clamoring for last year (Lips, Ben Harper) but I gotta wonder if they're gonna add the regulars (MMJ, Umphrey's, Robert Randolph, Les). Should be interesting, but I'm satisfied without any additions. Well done.

Listen, I'm not a big Radiohead fan. I'll admit it I used their set as rest time last year because they were so slow, but I understood that they were extremely popular worldwide. Rollingstone had them listed as the best live act in the world (why I don't know) and they have sold out huge venues in Europe and around the states so I understood the appeal. Tool I just don't get. Latenight set = awesome! Headliner, not so much.
