I haven't seen either one of them, so this is a tough call. I like Beck's music better, but I'm wondering how his low-fi sound comes across live. On the other hand, I've heard that Blues Traveler is a great live band.
I havent seen Beck before but have seens blues traveler several times. The show never changes and you can catch BT for much cheaper than you could ever see Beck.

I could see Blues Traveler twice a year if I wanted to for $20 but I can only see Beck very occasionally and tickets last time were $70....I have seen both and Beck is definitely the way to go for me ;D
Humanity has advanced, when it has advanced, not because it has been sober, responsible, and cautious, but because it has been playful, rebellious, and immature.

beck beck beck he plays harmonica too and dances better than john popper
beck and radiohead are friends thom and beck routinely join in on each other's sets to duet...we could luck out and see this happen... they do the Velvet Underground song "I'm Set Free"
mmm... I'm definitely hoping that happens. I know that in '02 Beck was greeted at a show by the 5 members of Radiohead standing up front clapping away. Seems like there's some natural collusion potential there.

i was thinking about this also...although i think its only happend a couple of times. I would like to see one of them join the other...or cover the other's tunes. I think its more likely that beck would cover radiohead or Thom join beck than the other way around.
I'll be the asshole_ that says it: Beck, because Blues Traveller haven't been the same since they lost their guitarist. I love BT and have seen them plenty-- but more to the point, their shows are fun but nowhere near the sight-to-be-seen of Beck in his latest incarnation.

Don't get me wrong, I love BT but that song of theirs currently on the bonnaroo myspace is pretty awful. I mute it whenever it comes on Why couldn't they pick a decent song ?!
definelt medeski martin and wood for me. with scofield and dj logic in the house i cant miss it. altohough id love to see beck, blues traveler, cypress hill and les. what a bad bit of scheduling.
