Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Since I spend countless hours contemplating the schedule every year, I thought I would try to start keeping track of the info out there early.
I will try to keep this updated with any info that comes along, so please post anything you hear here!
(p) means pollstar is the source (j) means its jambase I’ll put a period after listings that seem to come from a reliable, knowledgeable source and a question mark after those that are pure speculation, but seem to make sense.
For those who aren’t familiar with this routine, a lot of the Pollstar and Jambase information ends up being incorrect, but a lot ends up being right. For example a lot of artists might show up on Friday simply because they are playing the festival and that is the date the festival starts.

Cool idea. I'm a fiend for this kind of info as well. BTW jambase's info on who plays what day of a fest have been way off in the past, so I'd take their schedule info w/ a grain of salt. Pollstar has proved more reliable, but even they goof up sometimes. Band homepages seem to be the most reliable IMHO.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
Wood brothers and MMW on the same day? I am not sure about that. I am thinking that will change.
Agreed. The dates come from their respective sites, but I think sometimes people just throw in Friday as the date the fest starts. That's why they get the question mark. If I see the 16th as a date, then I'm kind of skeptical, even if it's an artist's page. If someone specifies Saturday or Sunday, I assume that's pretty solid.
I did the tour of the bands websites today and updated a few things.
Prettiest (if sometimes difficult to navigate) websites: Beck and Dresden Dolls. Sasha has a cool James Bond vibe on his site and the Touring page has a really cool map that shows up when you roll over the dates.
Websites need to be updated for the 21st century: Steel Pulse, Bright Eyes

I have nothing to back this up, but is there any chance at all that Radiohead won't be playing the traditional headline spot, and instead will occupy the late night spot? It seems to me that this would be not only fitting, but incredible.

Glad to see malkmus playing on Sunday so I don't get lazy and decide to leave early. Definitly seeing that set...this is a fun thread.
I think Radiohead will do the headlining thing, no one else really playing and its not late night but at least its dark by then so we can get some nice light show action.
yeah, i can't imagine radiohead not headlining (they would be cool in a late night set, but i think them headlining would be cool too). i hadn't thought about the light show part of it...from the little i saw of them in the coachella movie, it looked like a helluva show
I found some more bands with definitive dates, per official websites:
Stephen Malkmus will be playing on Sunday Damian Marley will be playing on Saturday
Thanks Element Guy!
I added Damian Marley on Saturday as well as Cat Power (the article about the cancelation of most of her tour specifies the 18th and says she is still tentatively scheduled to play).
I didn't see the Stephen Malkmus info on his site linked from Bonnaroo and Pollstar seems to be down for me right now. Where was that info from?
Grace Potter has the "listed all three days" treatment at Jambase so I'm leaving her off for now.
I'm glad to see Damian Marley nailed down, because I picked up his CD and his is quickly rising to the top of my "must see" list. He's billed pretty high and is pretty popular right now, so I'm guessing he may either be on one of the two bigger stages later in the day. If he's closing the 2nd stage or the last act before the headliner than that's one more reason to hope that Beck's set will be late night because Beck/Damian Marley would be a nasty conflict for me.
This is the site I found showing that Stephen Malkmus is playing on Sunday. I looked at this site, because from looking at www.stephenmalkmus.com, it doesn't look like it is being updated that often.
But, I have to agree, I also picked up that Damian Marley album after he was announced to play, and I seriously have a hard time not listening to it. That song "All Night" is freakin' sweet.
Personally, I'm hoping he's playing the first show of the day on the main stage. I just love starting out my days at Bonnaroo with reggae! (The Wailers in 2003, Burning Spear in 2004, and Toots/Matisyahu in 2005)
Updated w/ Malkmus (I was a history major, I'm a stickler for sources)
I'm also a big fan of the "starting a Bonnaroo day with reggae" tradition, but I think Steel Pulse fits Wailers/Burning Spear/Toots reggae-legend tradition more than Damian. I'd like to chill out with Steel Pulse and hear a fiery, aggressive, pissed-off at the world set from Damian.
Yes, this is a great thread. I always wish we could get the set times earlier, so that you can figure out your "agenda".
I really dont have much to add other than Sasha would be playing a late night set (being a dj) but it could be friday or saturday so that does not really help much.
Ka mai, I don't remember the projected schedule thread being so good in years past; this one kicks butt. Thanks for getting it started so well and for everyone else jumping in to share updated news when they have it.
I'll check the site out when I get a chance, but who are Wood Bros? Assuming related to MMW, per LIGuy's comment, but any perspective you or anyone has would be groovy.
I really hope Radiohead are playing on Friday because they are one of my favorites, and usually by Sunday i like to kick back and listen to the headliner, and i think Phil and Friends would be perfect for that.
The crowd will be smaller and it will kick off the fest on a note of awesomeness. They're killer live -- loads of passion and completely capable of creating a kinetic sort of energy that the crowd can feed off of. The best comparison would be Springsteen in his early Jersey days.

as i don't know what it is like at bonnaroo, i do know what it is like to party hard for a week at a time, and i know by the end. kickin back and just chillin is definitely what i am ready for.
i am so ready for radiohead. i think it would be f*cking amazing if they did a late night show... assuming it isn't any shorter than the headliner time slot. it doesn't completely matter because it will be pitch black at most halfway through the show. so they could still put on a light show. and thm is a fkin genious, so he could have some crazy nuts up his sleeve. im thinking of idioteque right now being really amazing....
Added Marah (thanks Element Guy), Blues Traveler and Nickle Creek today.
Here's a prediction:
I-Nine, Balkan Beat Box, and The Cat Empire are the bottom three bands on the bill as Bonnaroo released it. The three above them (The Motet, Toubab Krewe, and Marah) all have Thursday as their date on their websites. It makes me wonder if those first three bands aren't the rest of the Thursday bill. I'm really interested in Toubab Krewe and Balkan Beat Box, and I'm not sure if I will make it there Thursday night, so that would kind of bum me out if it were the case.
robby- that list is oh so tantalizing and that's an interesting site. I'll keep the list at the top of this thread to confirmed acts for now.
I have made this topic a stcikey because this is infor people want to see..even if it is a work in progress. Plus, you don't have to dig for this thread after a few days of being neglected. Hope this works for everyone..carry on ;D
You can never really know until it actually happens as far as when people will be there. Last year in an interview Robert Randolph said he was disapointed he wouldn't be able to get to 'Roo until Sunday when he was playing with the Word. As those of us that were there last year know, he showed up Friday night and ripped up All Along the Watchtower with Dave. Not a bid Dave fan but that collaboration was hot.
Has anybody heard anything about the sercet machines playing again this year. I have seen them three times and the roo show blew the other ones out of the water. I know that their coming out with a new cd in may, so I'm hoping and preying that they decide to play. It would be a major top off to a most ridiculous bill already.
Added Seu Jorge and Ben Folds to Friday (thanks LIGuy and attornaroo).
Also added Umphreys/Disco Biscuits to both late nights (don't know which day).
For some reason I'm not getting the official Bonnaroo e-mails any more, but the Umphrey's/Disco Biscuits news is in the news section of the site. From the way it is worded it looks to me like they will be playing together and the term "special late night show" meant late night on the second stage (as opposed to the tent) for Trey last year. The two years they have had this late night show on the second stage (Primus in '04 and Trey last year) has been on Saturday, so right now I would guess that would be where we'll see this one.
