I don't know why I'm feeling wary about it this year. I barely thought about it last year before I went. I guess because of the huge storm last year that blew our camp away and left me sleeping in the car AND made me miss the Dead/Primus.
I also think it has to do with the fact that I haven't seen sunshine here in almost a week. I'm seriously getting depressed from a lack of sunshine, I think. Thank god it's coming out on Sunday, finally.
Does anyone remember what the weather forecast was last year before we went? I actually didn't think the weather was too too bad last year. I mean, yeah, it was kinda bad. The only time it really sucked was Saturday night. And I think the reason it sucked for me is because I was all f*ed up and I decided to spend the entire rainstorm dancing in the rain and splashing in mud puddles while Sam Bush band was doing these rockin' Bob Marley covers. So then, I was freakin soaked to the bone, I barely had any clothes on, so then, when nighttime came, I got cold. And when I went back to my camp, it was blown away. So there was no where for me to warm up and get dry and get ready for the Dead/Primus. Sooooo! I missed it.
Anyway, I was actually in a mist tent during the storm right before TAB (which was f*ing scary, it looked like a freakin tornado was coming! And what was up with how the sky turned into the color of mud?? I thought that the mud had somehow seeped into the sky or something?!) So that didn't suck as bad.
The mud, kindof sucked. Basically because it made it hard to walk. I mean, you still could actually find a place to sit down if you had a waterproof blanket and you looked hard enough.
Thursday and Friday--the weather was F*ing awesome! Omg, I had so much fun on Thurs. and Fri. I was in freakin' heaven. Except I spent $40 on some bunk candy on Sat. Yeah, but, who cares.
Ok, well, after that long rant about the weather, I'm feeling a little better. I mean, it can't be as bad as last year, right?
I guess, the only thing that could make it suck for me is if it actually rained the entire day or the entire night without stopping one day or night. Because, I just cannot see myself having fun if it's raining during WSP's entire set. Or if it rained the entire day, every day. Or the entire night, every night! It won't do that right??!!?? If it's just short storms, it will be all good.
Ok, if you made it through that entire post, then you must be f*ing bored. like me.
I've been to fests where it rained the whole time. Keep a flask of ginger brandy in your hip pocket. A sip every hours or so will keep you going. That and it's an excuse be without as many clothes as possible. SKinny Dipping for everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't worry redhotmomma, We are in Seneca,SC and we haven't seen the sun for like about a month. The weather in Manchester looks better than ours. Our 2nd year and I have accepted the fact We'll be wet all weekend. The fun will be all we need...and a lot of tarps and plastic and go to Bi-lo or wally world and get about 10 or so 99cent Panchos(not the mexican). If you have extras......make friends. Peace Out, Sir Steevo O&A PARTY ROCK

yeah, I know. I'm not sure why I was feeling like that--I really do think I'm delerious from not seeing the sun for a month. (Steevo9a is right, it really has been like a month since we've seen the sun). The weather guy promised us it would be here tomorrow, but I checked the weather today, and he is a f*cking liar.
I'm not really bummed anymore, hehe. I really do think the weather is going to be pretty fair. It was just a long rant, it made me feel better about it.
