It's growing like crazy, for both good and bad. We're certainly getting there with traffic and overvalued real estate, but with the Orion, new festival, and tons of other new things, it kind of evens out.
I haven't spent any time there, but I've driven through it a bunch of times. Seems like a very nice city that should be taken out of Alabama and moved into a cool state. Birmingham as well.
The first pride parade will be on Thursday to open the fest. The second will be on Sunday when Chappell Roan ends at 5:00 on this tent and CRJ starts at 5:15 on what.
eggy (opening a tent! will be a cool way to kick things off) say she she ? ? national of language pretty lights (three hour set! but i literally want to see every other artist during PL which sucks) gwar
friday
mike mdou moctar (honestly mike > mdou moctar might be the best part of this whole day) ? hamdi faye webster / jessica audifred sy fx JRAD / isoxo (probably catch one hour of JRAD before ISOXO, possibly just stay at JRAD if i'm feeling it) post malones t-pain (tough conflicts for many friday late night but i'm good with just t-pain)
saturday
good chance i get a late start saturday in an attempt to see as much of PL sunrise set as possible. but assuming i went all day:
trousdale (because cinci says they are good) ? ? vandelux or brittany howard jon batiste kasablanca whyte fang (if i start late i'll definitely be there by whyte fang time) knock2 or the garden peppas parcels or diplo pretty lights
sunday
armand hammer irreversible entanglements badbadnotgood (these three are a pretty great run) four tet (90 minute set, better than i expected) ? isbell fred again..

Damn... not too happy about the schedule but we'll make the most of it. Might even go home on Sunday, they really messed up that day.
Thu: PL vs Geese, Fischer vs Gwar vs Roisin Murphy Pretty upset about missing Geese, but they're playing another set so I can deal with it. Glad I still catch the end of Roisin, might be covered in blood tho. Why book Eggy to open tho? I'm afraid I won't make it in time to catch their set.
Fri: Khruangbin vs JRAD Pretty much my best day overall, although the LN is disappointing. The only conflict for me is partial, so not too worried about missing anything. Can stay busy throughout the day. Might even go see T-Pain unless I'm in a Volta mood.
Sat: Cage vs Whyte Fang I pretty much have nothing to do until 5.30pm, but since it'll easily be 5.30am before I hit the sack, I'm okay with it. Only 1 conflict but not sure I'll be splitting sets for Cage or Whyte Fang. Luckily the superjam this year is not something I'm looking forward to.
Sun: CRJ vs Four Tet Could've seen this coming, normally I like the Sunday to be slow but this is ridiculous. Have nothing I want to see after 7pm (and not much before), and my 2 biggest sets are conflicting. Good to see Four Tet getting 90mins but do they really had to book Carly to play in the middle of that set?
---------
Overall disappointing, but the Outeroo schedule and Who stage might hopefully make it better. Thought the schedule would convince me to immediately get my ticket, somehow still on the fence. Even after knowing there's 6 hours of Pretty Lights.

Ha. And here I am thinking the Sunday scheduling is nearly perfect for my tastes.
Greensky Bluegrass > Chappell Roan > CRJ > MTS > Jason Isbell. Done. That's a solid day.
