I love Colin and I loved that movie but idk if it was the best acting performance of the year. kind of a weak year for male lead but I thought Austin was better.

I'm not sure Colin Farrell had the best acting performance in any one film but if there was an award for best overall year, he should get it. Between his leading roles in Banshees and After Yang and his supporting role in The Batman, he had 3 really strong performances.

Still pissed India didn't submit "RRR" as the international film choice. I hope we get a live performance for the song, at least.
Stephanie Hsu is huge. I hope EEAO sweeps actress / supporting / supporting, though I think supporting actress category will be split and it'll go to Angela Basset as a legacy win. I still haven't seen Black Panther 2.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?
UPCOMING SHOWS 5/14 - Neil Young & Crazy Horse @ Forest Hills 6/8 and maybe 6/9 - Governors Ball 8/17 - King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard @ Forest Hills 9/4 - Pearl Jam @ MSG 9/7 - Pearl Jam @ Wells Fargo Center 9/11 - St. Vincent @ Brooklyn Paramount
I want Michelle Yeoh to win so badly, but I have heard nothing but how Cate Blanchett in Tár is the best thing to ever happen to acting, so I dunno.
Reminds me a lot of Chadwick vs Anthony from two years ago. Pretty sure everyone wants Michelle to win, including Cate (who already has two wins and four other noms), but like yeah Cate chews it up in Tár. Michelle is definitely being honored here more for her whole career.

Been a while since my personal favorite film of the year was nominated for, let alone won Best Picture, so really hoping Banshees takes it.
Also, I know Farrell, Gleeson, and Keoghan have received most of the acting hype from that movie, and deservedly so... but imo Kerry Condon had the best performance. She was so good and I know she probably won't win but really hope she does.
I want Michelle Yeoh to win so badly, but I have heard nothing but how Cate Blanchett in Tár is the best thing to ever happen to acting, so I dunno.
i also want Michelle to win, but IMO cate gave the better performance. yeoh won the globe and her speech definitely had the vibe of "this is my moment to give an acceptance speech because blanchett is winning for tar".
Best pic: EEAAO Best director: Todd Field, TAR Best actor: Colin Farrell (i haven't even seen banshees yet i just want colin to win) Best actress: Blanchett, TAR Best supporting actor: Ke Huy Quan, EEAAO Best supporing actress: honestly no strong feelings here. would be cool for Stephanie Hsu to win for EEAAO
mostly personal preference but a bit of what i think will win too. would be nice to see Top Gun get something b/c it saved movies.
My best picture power rankings based on personal preference: TÁR The Banshees of Inisherin Everything Everywhere All at Once The Fabelmans Triangle of Sadness Top Gun: Maverick Elvis
Need to see: All Quiet on the Western Front Avatar: The Way of Water Women Talking
Overall pretty solid best picture slate. Elvis is the only one I've seen so far that I think is bad but I'm also not a fan of Baz.

We can’t reward Austin’s behavior
