Although i have not attended bonnaroo, my experiance with similar festivals is that ice is the last thing you want to buy, it being the most overpriced.

Ice is pretty easy to get and it is overpriced but not as bad as it could be. I forget how much it was a bag....i wanna say around $6....but i'm not sure.
Ice has always been $3/bag. You should get ice either VERY early in the morning, like 8 or so, or just wait until late afternoon. You should always try to keep a bag in reserve. Put your ice cooler in the shade or somehow shield it from the sun. Not that there may be much...sun, I mean.
Going early in the morning is key. We went in the middle of the afternoon, and bought 3 bags of ice.......got back to our camp and had 3 bags of water!

Ice was definately $3 a bag. Get up early and get in line. We were able last year to buy 3 bags everyday and put them in the cooler without opening them. Everything stayed nice and cold and the next morning we drained the coolers into our solar shower. And Ziggy... if you buy anything at Roo it should be ice. If you ever attend you'll understand why.

Ice is easy to get, it's cheaper on the outside though. If you are bringing a cooler get a couple of plastic milk bottles or water bottles and freeze them. They last a long time and won't get everything wet when they thaw. Check out our Bonnaroo photos from last year at www.larrysafko.com We've got our press credentials again this year so we will be all over the venue.
