In the first three hours, Warren leads the field 15-12. That's pretty interesting to me. Why are people supporting Warren and not Bernie?
I think Bernie is easily a more authentic candidate (one of the most authentic I've seen in my lifetime) and has a record of fighting the good fight over the course of his career, but I think Warren is very strong on policy, and more politically savvy in today's climate. No matter how much I love Bernie's stances, he comes across as very "old man yells at crowd", and on some non-rational level that makes me question his ability to garner support from other Democrats. Our political system is slimy and dirty all around, and frankly I think he might be too principled to get as slimy as he needs to get other Dems to rally behind him. He's correct that we need a political revolution - and I admit that we won't get that from electing Warren - but we need more AOCs on board in Congress push his agenda through. I think Warren would be better at greasing the right wheels, which unfortunately is a necessity.

I think anyone turned off by Bernie’s yelling doesn’t actually care that much about policy to begin with. To me it just seems like an excuse centrists use after he dunks all over them. I think among Dems he might face a bit of a wall but I think the amount he inspires to come out or flip should outweigh that.
Warren’s great and I would love to have her as president, but Bernie’s more “systematic” approach is what I think we need to make real change. Plus if we’re talking about “electability” here, Sanders has better name recognition and is less easily baited by Trump.
Bernie is older than Biden and sharp as a tack. Maybe Biden is simply an idiot and always has been.
Also Bernie will have a VP.
I don’t agree with Biden on policy but he is significantly more slow than he was against Paul Ryan in the 2008 debate. It’s not close. 77 is very old, even if Bernie looks to be sharp as a tack, you don’t know how much longer that will last. It’s a legit concern.

Couldn’t we say the same about Warren? Plus that was a VP debate in 2012. Different debate, different climate, different opponent. A better comparison would be the 08 Dem debates and iirc he wasn’t anywhere near his performance in 2012 in those.

Another old guy sucking is not a reason to doubt Bernie, imo. Bernie is still agile mentally and he's got a ton of energy and seems to be in great physical health for his age as well. Plenty of people his age or older are capable thinkers. Debates are theoretically how the public observes the candidates' mental acuity, and Bernie is performing while Biden does not. They're not the same.
Bernie has looked the same since he was like 45, it’s kind of insane. Trevor Noah did a bit where he found some of Bernie’s old public access shows from the 80’s.
In case you scrolled past that video and said "Eh, I don't feel like it", a 45 y/o Bernie Sanders talks to young schoolchildren about cocaine. It's worth watching.

Wayne Messam is the mayor of a city in Florida.
Seth Moulton is a sitting congressman from Massachusetts.
Joe Sestak is a former congressman from PA who failed to beat Pat Toomey in 2010 I think for US Senate and failed another time, maybe he didn't even win the nomination in 2016.
If you are on twitter and follow the account @iastartingline (Iowa Starting Line - tracks all presidential candidates in Iowa), Sestak is making some inroads in Iowa. Not enough that he shouldn't drop out, all three of these guys should.

I don't think you need to watch Messam or Sestak for that. If, *IF*, a nominee wanted to go with someone from PA or Florida, I think there are much better possibilities. If you wanted a FL mayor, for example, why not pick Andrew Gillum? I can't think of someone better in PA other than to say "anybody".
