This makes the most sense. I remember at Coachella, when taking about Donald glovers performance the night before, Parker said something along the lines of “I have never been so inspired by someone and so jealous of someone at the same time”
It goes both ways. Donald Glover is a big fan of Kevin. When Gambino performed in Australia this year he asked the crowd if they fucked with Tame Impala. Then said black people fuck with Tame Impala lol. There's also video of him watching Tame's set at ACL.
I don’t doubt they both like each other, I was just pointing out the way the admiration influenced Kevin. Maybe we will hear a psychedelic gambino song. Although, hasn’t he retired that persona? Also if this song already exists inform me cuz I don’t know his whole discography.
I feel like out of the entirety of the headliner pool the fanbase for Eagles leans heaviest to Senior Management and idk that those people go to Roo for the eagles when they can just see them in a ballpark.

for free because they know the people that run the ball park
Pitchfork gave Three Cheers an 8.2, suck on that, Simple Plan.
i don't know much about MCR but i respect any band that opens their first album with a song like "Helena". it's like saying "yeah we are going to be playing this in fucking arenas hope you are OK with that".
all respect to faye webster and others who put time and effort into making mocks, but i love these badass and unique superjams that consistently show up in mocks even though we haven't had an exciting or original superjam since 2014.
it's just going to be a woefully under-rehearsed band of not very well known names hesitantly making their way through a circa 2009 wedding playlist while the poor curator keeps trying to convince the audience how awesome it is. you will leave after the first three songs to go see what Dillon Francis is up to on The Other.

The pres Hall superjam in 2017 was really fantastic. You are so spot on with every other year though
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Lol I agree itll probably be shiz or just wont have one at all but I figure if I'm making a mock I might as well have some fun with it. I dont expect a bill nye climate panel either but why not try to will it in to existence

I've been going since 2015 so I understand that the better years are before my time there. But I've never enjoyed a super jam. Usually around the time of the super jam I'm a little fuzzy.
I remember going to meet my friends for the Tom petty one and I got sucked in like a moth by the lights at virtual self. I don't even like that kind of music but like it was the right energy at the time. Tom petty super jam just seemed so boring.

The Superjam was a can’t miss show every year (including 2013 when it was scheduled against Weird Al and I had to disappoint my 9yr old self)
Hot take - The Dr John / Black Keys superjam was garbage
I liked it a bunch but it wouldn't be near my top 5. If I remember correctly it didn't feel like a regular Superjam but just like a Dr. John and Dan Auerbach set.

Agreed. I actually forgot that it was considered a Superjam that year. Felt more like a Daryl Hall & Chromeo type of set

I mean, Dr. John played desitively Bonnaroo with the original meters and Allen toussaint earlier in the weekend. It was a fun time filler Sunday, but I got "superjam" fix at LN
