I was thinking I might go, but not a huge fan of the lineup. Love Wilco obviously, and Dawn of Midi is great too, but otherwise not wildly inspiring.
My main question though is: The Shaggs?? As in, the sisters that in the '60s made an album that is infamous for how bad it is? Have they reunited? Because that would be pretty bizarre/amazing.
Hmm.. I might need to do some research. I can't make a decision right now. There are a lot of names that I don't know, or don't know well. Let me know if anyone makes a Spotify playlist or anything.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Absolutely love this lineup. Wish I could make it. Saw Television a few years ago with pretty low expectations but they fucking killed it. That is going to be an awesome set!
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Y'all are sleeping on a great fest here! Get to it!
Are you definitely in for this year?
The camp spot is the closest one. Holds four. I have room but it is tent spot. . Or, some cool friends have a spot at the Wyndham with a bed and shower, they are musicians. Dave Sole may be a pop in. I haven't decided the best course of action here.

Now I vaguely remember talking to you about this in Mexico and possibly getting in on your spot haha. Keep me updated as to if you're going to remain in your camping spot, or move to the Wyndham!

Quite enticed by this fest now that wilco will be doing an album start to finish on Friday. Favorite Wilco album is Summerteeth, but I'll be voting for Being There...would be great to hear some of the tracks from that album they rarely play live. Plus, you get the most music with Being There.
The fact you guys get Being There makes me hate y'all a little more seriously consider making this happen.
FTFY.
You've still not been, right? Because if not, you of all people need to get on it, doggone it. Gooble gobble, one of us!
Sadly, no. I put all my chips on Chicago this year. While BT isn't my favorite album it does have some of my favorite songs. Super jealous of those attending.

What's in Chicago? Besides the awesome people I saw and pizza I ate last weekend...
And what is your favourite Wilco album, then? I'm going with Summerteeth on account of the fact I feel like I've seen you post that in Now Playing more than anything else over the years.

Correct, sir.
Summerteeth > YHF > BT > AGIB Personal preference and all.
I'm headed back to Pitchfork and metal burgers for a few days. I got my Wilco last year and I got them this year at Big Ears AND a Tweedy/ Chris Corsano/Darien Grey trio set.
Solid Sound should be a no brainer for me but it's out of the cards for a bit. It's hard for me to even think about getting to western Mass, much less bringing my camping equipment. One year though, I'm going to suck it up.

Those would be my top four too, but I think I'd put them in a slightly different order. This type of stuff changes a lot depending on where I am in my life. Mermaid Ave vol i + ii would be up there, but that's not a true Wilco album per se.
I got my Tweedy fix last year at one of my favourite venues (on my birthday week, no less) - amazing 30-song marathon - but I need my full band fix. The time between now and my most recent Wilco show is almost as long as the time between my first and last Wilco show, and that is simply unacceptable.
You would really dig Solid Sound I reckon. It's not really a true camping festival - the camping they do have is on a school soccer field a mile away, and there were only about 100 tents or so. But it's nice. I stayed at a cool little motel just over the VT border my first year, which was unfortunately no longer there by year two. Accomodation in North Adams is mostly chi-chi B&Bs. I hear the band stays at the Porches Inn, but you didn't get that from me.
See you there! But don't stay at Solid Ground campgrounds. Our little group got shushed all night Saturday night because we were up talking after 1am, which is apparently when everyone there goes to bed. Definitely doing a hotel next time.
Edit: also, it will be 2019, I would imagine. Unless they change the formula. Every Other Summer

I actually prefer a hotel as its easier to talk Mrs. GL into attending. I'm gonna have a million questions before it drops, I'm sure.
