I would say any mock should have a legacy in the top 3 - last six lineups have had one (ten of last twelve) and we haven't seen any indicators yet to show that looks likely to change. FWIW, I don't necessarily want a legacy act ... I just think that's the outlook.
My money is on Fleetwood Mac - seems like the right fit following a successful showing by U2.
GnR would be better for Roo since they also carry the bro-crowd

I'd take GnR... and they seem fairly likely as well.
If Roo specifically wants to got after another stadium size act, I think GNR is the only rock option. Fleetwood Mac is big but they play arenas.
They headlined Classic East/West this year and headlined Isle of Wight Fest a year or two ago...
You talking about Fleetwood Mac? Yeah they are definitely a festival headliner, no doubt. What I'm saying is it seems part of Roo's strategy in 2017 to "bounce back" from 2016 ticket sales slump was to book a ridiculously huge headliner, U2. U2 plays stadiums on normal tours. So if Roo wanted to book another stadium-level rock band, the only other option is GNR.

Oh I see what you're saying - makes sense.
I personally would prefer Fleetwood, but you have a good point w/ GNR
That's what I was implying, Gaga is on a whole other level than Lana.
Sonically very different too
As big of a Lana fan as I am, I'd take Gaga over her in a heartbeat! I love my girl Lana but her live shows aren't anywhere near the level of Gaga, and if you're not a Lana fan I'd imagine her live shows are quite boring haha. Gaga would be epic, I don't see it for Roo but I'd love to be wrong about that.

I thought Gaga was taking a break from music too, I'd be surprised to see her touring in 2018

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Or Metallica
good point, and one i missed despite the fact that i saw Metallica in a stadium this past summer.
I guess in my mind Metallica is still an arena-level act, but they did sell about 45,000 seats in Atlanta, out of about 55,000.

I always forget when we start to get indications of who is really a possibility and who is out? Last year we had things figured out relatively quick compared to usual right? I figured we would have more ruled out or potentials at this point.
I mean GNR are playing arenas right now, they only did stadiums for the first run of the reunion.
Also, The Rolling Stones should always be in consideration when discussing classics.
They actually played Great Stage Park already.
Show didn't happen. But as mentioned on the previous page (and I think mentioned previously a few weeks back) makes sense that show got cancelled in favor of being booked for Bonnaroo
