Also Smashin' Pumpkins pretty much suck in my book.
Your book is shit.
Arguable, but if it means my opinion is correct I'll keep readin' it. There are a (very) few number of songs I enjoy from them, but I just really can't stand Billy's voice.
Is there some Arctic Monkeys news I don't know about? They've been m.i.a. since early 2016. Lots of lineup rumors have them listed
They're thought to be working on their new album, but if I'm not mistaken nothing has been confirmed officially. They usually don't take such big gaps between releases though so I think a lot of fans are just speculating based on that.

Just saw the Radiohead discussion going on in the Gov Ball thread after I posted my comment here haha, but yeah that'd be a great #1 for Roo.
Radiohead - Jay-Z - The Killers - Lana Del Rey Future - DJ Snake - ODESZA - The 1975 - St. Vincent Run The Jewels - Galantis - Grimes - Foster The People

Not sure I understand this argument. ACL and Bonnaroo are eight months apart and don't really compete with each other.
The big fests are always competing with each other. Regardless, directors ideally want to curate lineups that differentiate them from other fests.
Well I understand that I just don't think ACL and Bonnaroo are in "direct" competition, being so far apart and offering very different experiences. I wouldn't expect Bonnaroo's top line to be identical to Firefly, Hangout, or Gov Ball because they are much closer to each other. But Regardless, this year's Bonnaroo and ACL already share two headliners and have a very similar lineup.
But anyways I just think having Jay Z, Gorillaz, and The Killers on the top line would please a majority of Bonnaroo's audience. They're all bucket list artists for Bonnaroo (even The Killers, and I know Jay Z has played before but we've been anticipating his return for a while). I just don't think the fact that those artists are also headlining ACL would matter to a lot of people.
I would say any mock should have a legacy in the top 3 - last six lineups have had one (ten of last twelve) and we haven't seen any indicators yet to show that looks likely to change. FWIW, I don't necessarily want a legacy act ... I just think that's the outlook.
My money is on Fleetwood Mac - seems like the right fit following a successful showing by U2.

UK music news has been chattering for months that they are in the studio for a tour run next summer. The question is whether or not they come stateside... Much like QOTSA, my guess is that they headline gigs in Europe and subheadline here.
