LOL did Paste really put albums by Lucius, Lacy Dacus, Andrew Bird, Thao and the Get Down Stay Down, Sam Beam, and Lake Street Dive in the top 50? Never change, Paste.
Lucy Dacus and Thao would probably both be on my list too. The others are all fine, definitely not top 50 though. All probably better than whatever The Rolling Stones are about to put out!
Also, is it just me, or did everyone just kind of forget about James Blake's album?

I like James Blake but it straight puts me to sleep every single time.

I've seen his album on every list except for Paste's actually.

It's not on NME's, Rolling Stone's, or Rough Trade's. The only place I saw it was CoS

I like Chance but Coloring Book is so overrated. Can't believe its getting all these accolades that were nowhere to be seen for the superior Acid Rap.
Didn't Acid Rap get onto a lot of Best Of lists in 2013 as well? I could've recalled seeing Chance on the 2013 Rolling Stone list if nothing else.
It appeared on some lists, I'm sure. I guess my past comment was a little too harsh. But top 5 on nearly every list for Coloring Book is crazy. I think Kanye's TLOP, which is nowhere near perfect, is substantially better. But thats just me.

I agree that Chance probably shouldn't even be in the Top 10. But, at the same time, I think it's better than TLOP.

James Blake does run long and could've dropped a few tracks in the first half, but definitely top ten for me. And it is incredible live. He is my top live show this year

It's always cool when you find out a musician like that has been listening to the same things that you are.

Kind of lame to be putting out any best of lists, when a full months worth of music is still being released. Looking forward to hearing Mos Def and Neil Young's new ones.
I wish someone would give Frank Ocean's Endless some love, but maybe it's not considered since it was only a video? Re-listened to it tonight and it aged so so well.

I appreciate that a two song release can make the top ten.

there's nothing after next week, to be fair
You guys. These list come out in December EVERY FUCKING YEAR. They do it to pimp holiday sales.
