Also: Future is only relevant because his baby mama (Ciara) is dating a football player (Russell Wilson) and he can't seem to get over that.
No, he's relevent because he has released numerous hit songs and released an EP with Drake that sold close to 500k copies in less than a week. Him and Metro defined a sound that many hip-hop artists are moving towards, whether its a good sound or not.
He'd sell more tickets than a fair amount of headliners, but Im not sure there's anything special about his shows.
I think the only way they book future is if they also booked drake. I just have a hard time picturing a lineup where future is the highest placed rap artist. I could see drake and future at 1 and 5-6 or neither of them and chance at 5-6. Or I could be completely wrong and we just get future at 4. If that's the case then all hope is lost for roo.
Actually Grimes didn't open for Flo here. It was Anderson Paak instead. I did see Grimes twice here a few years ago at Backbooth.
Anderson Paak opening for Florence sounds amazing.
Nobody was really into it unfortunately. He put on a pretty good show but it wasn't really for me personally. The guy playing guitar with him absolutely killed it though

I think his popularity warrants a 4-5 spot but Roo should spend their budget elsewhere

Billed 6th at lolla with a pretty good lineup and no Drake on the bill. Say what you want but Future is pretty damn big right now.

No idea where on the lineup they'd slot a solo Future show. I'd guess top 4-8ish depending on whatever else they got but I feel like he would play late night Which a la Lil' Wayne in 2011. Is that crazy? I just can't see him in a tent or headlining by himself and a Future show when there's still light out would feel wrong.
I'd actually like if they booked Future and Drake for a headlining set. I kind of want to see that show but the cheapest ticket is like $60 bucks.
Radiohead* The Cure* Beck* Sia* Jack U* Future* Disclosure* Sufjan Stevens* Chance the Rapper* Willie Nelson* Of monsters & men* A$AP Rocky* Grimes
I'd be super pumped for this. My only thoughts is there is no americana or folk or roots rock type act near the top. Throw in Ryan Adams or the lumineers or something like that.

Love the lineup as well but I feel like it's almost too much hip/hop for the top lines. Future, Chance and A$AP Rocky would seem out of character of them to book no? I think if you moved Rocky down though it would make more sense.

Maybe but this year had 3 rap acts in the top twenty. I don't think 3 in the top 15 is too much overkill. Not saying they'll do it either though but I would be all for it.

Willie, OMaM, Sufjan all seem to fit the folky Americana pretty well.

LN Which sounds right. He's way too big for a LN tent, that'd be a disaster (but a really funny one, at least it'd be hype for the people under the tent). But the J.Cole/Kendrick slot would be a joke. If they were to book him, LN Which or maybe pre-headlining on the Which is the only thing that'd make sense.
So I obviously wouldn't care if Beck was number three on the lineup, but would that be a really weak billing though? I'm just thinking because Beck was four at Governors Ball and played before The Strokes.

That was the only issue I had with the billing. Seems like a headliner is missing. Maybe remove Sia, slide beck to the 4 and put potentionally Lorde on her second album at the 3 spot? Either that, or throw Lana del Rey there. I would think they need some kind of female presence near or at the top. Can't think of any other female artist that could reasonably fit there and not budget them out with both radiohead and the cure as well.

I wouldn't have a problem with Sia booked over Beck now that I think about it, that would make a good three and four

He is also #3 at Music Midtown behind twenty one fucking pilots.
Beyonce - Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Jack U - Beck
Obviously one never knows with Neil but I think he will be sticking with potr for a while longer, there is definitely a plan to continue the tour after oldchella

I would take him with any group. Solo, Crazy Horse, Promise of the Real. All would be sufficient for me.
