I hope this is another shot at him coming to bands late and not you trying to dismiss the confirmation. I need them to be there. Let me have a couple days to believe, man.

It was the first thing.
But on that note, I've never loved BTBAM. I saw them in 2010: Valient Thorr opened, and were ridiculous and awesome. Then Baroness played, and absolutely destroyed. Then BTBAM took the stage, and the dude stood there in his black leather pants playing the keyboard, and all the teenage kids who had filed in to the venue during Baroness (to the point where I was wondernig what was going on) went nuts. The show was kind of cheesy.
Luckily, after BTBAM ended all the weird teenagers booked it, then Mastodon came on and fucking destroyed.
Why am I not allowed to be excited about them now?
I'm just impressed. By my count, in one year you've gone from being the dude who openly admitted he didn't listen to many new albums, and who thought that Matt & Kim, 21 Pilots and Macklemore were some of the best shows at Bonnaroo, to a certified Deep Cuts Expert in shoegaze, metal, post-rock, hip-hop, electronic music, garage, punk, emo, nu-emo, and probably a whole host of others. I don't know how you get anything else done, honestly.

Cut him some slack, man. He's young, people's tastes are allowed to change. Evolving music preferences are a good thing.
Can he get a little excited about bands he's just discovering? Sure. But fuck, I can do that too. I'd never listened to Thee Oh Sees until a week ago. Love them now and are very much looking forward to their Levitation set. Should I not be allowed to be a fan since I wasn't an OGT from '92?
I'd hope someone would put me out of my misery if I was still only listening to the same stuff as when I was a teenager.

This is just trying way too hard dude
Cringeworthy
My apologies, I'll come up with some new material. Putting in work over in the Headliner thread has me all frosty. I'll road test some gems, come back around this way once I've got them perfected.

I missed that tour, but all 4 times that I have seen BTBAM, they were fucking amazing. And I didn't really notice a difference in their fans that other metal bands. Maybe it was because the shows I saw were in New Orleans and Austin rather than some goober New England town. (Seriously, there's a ton of difference in Melvins fans in nola vs any other city that I've seen them.) Maybe it was because I saw BTBAM open for something that was terrible (In Flames), play with someone similar opening (Animals as Leaders), at FFFfest, etc. Give them another chance, dingus.

You are such a hater man. You can quote whatever quote you want of mine, but its not going to make you any less of a negative hater.

Oh, be nice.
If you haven't noticed, even though Rory B. Bellows can and will slice a poster from time to time, you shouldn't complain if you knew what has happened before in posting spats with this guy called juggs. This is the second time I've had to point that out, and he thinks I'm a giant radioactive lizard. I have no reason to point this out other than fairness. We got juggs lite - still great taste (in music), less pr!ckish.
It's like comparing an evisceration to rubbing a Pumpkin Cutter™ against a thumb callous. Like a Polar bear putting up with a playful wolf puppy rather than painting the snow.
You have a right to say what you want like everyone else, but I think you look stupid in this case.
