Committee really opened themselves up to criticism when TCU was #3 last week and FSU was #4. If you want to argue that Ohio State is better than TCU, I disagree but whatever. Should TCU have dropped past Florida State after this week?? That's where I disagree with the committee. I'd have FSU over TCU myself but I don't think beating GT should move you ahead of TCU. Georgia Tech almost lost to Georgia Southern and did lose to an absolute shit North Carolina team. There's a bunch of unlikable teams left. Go Ducks I guess.
This. It's not so much that I feel strongly that TCU is one of the four best teams in the country. I just think it makes the committee looks kind of shitty to drop a team that won their game by such a large margin.
I know the push is for 8 teams in the playoff but I don't like it. I wish it were 6 teams and the 1 and 2 seeds get a bye. Best way to reward the truly elite teams in the regular season by giving them a bye into the semifinal while ensuring teams with legitimate national championship resumes still get in the playoff.
The best comment I have seen on the number of teams issue is that there will always be the controversy associated with the first team(s) left out whether it is 4, 6 or 8 teams put in the playoff.
TCU went all the way down to 6, which seems ridiculous. If this was the case, then why would they have been boosted to 3 just last week?
It also would have been fun if Ohio State and Florida State were reversed, to have a traditional Pac 12/Big 14 Rose Bowl of Oregon mopping the floor with a Big 10 team
EDIT: I just happened to notice the Duck Dynasty family sponsored the Independence Bowl... as if we needed more proof there were a few too many bowls.

Didn't last year (or maybe two years ago) we do the pool for $20 entry fee and the winner got a Bonnaroo ticket?
I would be down for that.
there were only 11 people on the weekly pick em, and only 9 of them were active for the whole season. a $20 entry fee wouldn't cover a bonnaroo ticket with that sort of participation. I wouldn't be opposed to putting some money down on it, but maybe if it were more like $5-$10 bucks there might be more interest from people on the board. I just set it up so I wouldn't feel lonely in a pick em by myself...

I'm in either way. I'll do mine after I get off campus tonight.

I'll never forget watching that Rose Bowl on my friends couch with the worst hangover of my life. Later in the day when I finally decided I could drive home I noticed someone had smashed my drivers side rear view mirror. Those were some dark times.
And the Beavers new head coach comes from Wisconsin.
No idea if this is a good thing or a bad thing. On the surface, Wisconsin is a pretty good program - so why leave to what's admittedly a lower ranked program?

Money? Running ahead of the fallout of getting annihilated in the championship game and losing his best player to the draft? PAC 12 > Big 10?
Yeah, I'll still take it. I mean, Michigan basketball went from Chris Webbergate to playing for a national title. Losing NJIT sucks, but it's not the sign of the apocalypse.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I have read similar articles over the years in regards to pro football fans and I bet you cold find similar articles about baseball fans, hockey fans, ect.
I keep vigilant ear to the ground every day concerning world/US news and events and spend a lot of time discussing those events. I find it a nice break on the weekends to cheer for a few football teams. Ohio State is one of them. It is my home state, I grew up watching Ohio State football.
If that last part was the case, I take it that he just wanted to go somewhere in the West. It's probably easier for him to get recruits from California and Utah to go to Oregon than halfway across the country to Wisconsin.
