Either someone hacked Nebraska's twitter or they hired Mike Reilly.
I just got a text alert from ESPN, so it seems like it happened. Fire a perennial 9 win coach and hire a guy who has a 93-80 record in 14 years? I don't know about that.
It could be worse, they could have hired a guy with a career record of 17-20.

The NCAA allows all teams that play at Hawaii to play 13 regular season games, thought of as an incentive for teams to schedule them
Also #wewantbama
You'd think a trip to Hawaii would be incentive enough, minus the costs of travel.
Too bad a lot of teams couldn't go make out-of-conference trips down there in November, that'd lure some teams there.
Alabama did it when we were on probation in 2003. Can't go to a bowl game? We'll go play Hawaii. We lost the game, but I'm sure the players enjoyed the trip.
I have no dog in this fight (a fan of VT/UF) but this playoff scenario is a head-scratcher. Assuming FSU holds on to this lead, there is one spot open for either OSU,Baylor,TCU. I think Baylor has the best resume. Going off the eye-test I think OSU is the best team out of the three, and yet TCU is the highest rated at the moment.
I can see 1. Alabama 2. Oregon 3. Florida St 4. Ohio St
Not being able to decide between Baylor and TCU, the Bucks jump ahead of both - esp with this huge win over Wisconsin.
this is unfortunately the way it WILL be. But Ohio state shouldn't be there. I live in the heart of Big Ten Country but the Buckeyes don't deserve to be ahead of Baylor or TCU. If for no other reason-- that stupid THE Ohio state university bullshit. Pompous fuckfaces.
Alabama should crush them in the semi-finals, so I wouldn't feel too bad.
Oregon vs. Florida St might be one of the few times I'd ever root for the Ducks.
As impressive as Ohio State's victory was, I don't see how you can drop a team two spots that stomped out an opponent by 52 no matter if they suck or not.

OSU has an ugly loss to an awful VaTech
Baylor has a loss to an over-acheiving WVU
TCU has a 4th quarter melt-down loss to Baylor.
I don't ever wish for good things for OSU, but I also don't think they should get into the playoff. I think TCU is better than Baylor, and would be downright scary to play in the playoff. But I think Baylor should get in for winning (before all the back peddling) the BIG XII
I'm personally looking forward to the Florida State vs Oregon game. I feel like Florida State will show people they're better than they've been playing. But also, fuck Ohio State. I hope Bama rips 'em a new one.

Think the committee got it right. I know OSU has the worst lost out of the 3, but I don't know how you can watch all 3 teams over the past month and not think OSU looks the best out of the eye-test. Their the only team that beat Minnesota on their home-field, and the only team to beat Michigan State on their home-field. They ran circles around a 10 win Wisconsin team last night with their 3rd string QB. At the end of the day I think the Big 12 got punished for not having a conference champion...and I am okay with that. I hate the "co-champ" crap. Were past little league.
TCU best win is against a 9 win K-State team. Yawn.
I would have been okay with Baylor, I think they have the best resume...but I believe OSU is the better team at the moment. Looking forward to the two best coaches in CFB squaring off.
I am very interested in final 4 matchups. Saban vs Urban, Mariota vs Winston.... exciting. And I know this will never happen but if they left the selection of the teams up to Vegas there would be no issues. Not based on lines because that has public perception and wager balancing that is a part of setting the lines. Just have a few Vegas bookmakers go by there top 4 in their power ratings and it would be more consistently correct than what a committee would do over the long run.
I agree. Won't ever happen, but its a great idea.
To everybody trashing Big10/OSU...I don't really get the argument. Like I said previously, I have no dog in the fight (favorite teams are in ACC/SEC). 30% of the Big12 has 8 losses or more. Baylor has beaten 5 bowl teams, TCU has beat 6, and OSU has beat 9. I know Ohio State has the worst lost out of the 3...but is a September loss against a major conference school that big of a deal?
