Yeah it was def April last year but I'm hoping we'll get it in March. They seem to be way more organized this year. The lineup came out almost a month before it did last year. Not getting my hopes up, but late March could work, with final adds to the Pre-Party announced in April.
Piggy-backing off that post, does anyone think our Letting Go stage headliner for Thursday is currently on the bill? I dont see it. I think GTalk headlines the Boom Boom and we have one more significant add for Thursday. I thought it was interesting that when the pre-party originally annouced their artists they said for sure the rest of the adds were coming in April and we could get a discounted rate if we bought out tickets right away. It makes me think they have another solid name up their sleeves that people will be willing to pay more to see.

Ya i dont see it either, I'd say we definitely have one more big name coming!

Hey I'm new here and never done HOF before. Been to Roo though
I'm going to be driving from Florida by myself. There are a bunch of my favorite bands playing so this rocks
I need lodging. Craigslist doesn't have much, and I can't pay a condo by myself. I'm thinking of going to the Southport campgrounds, since they will have space first come first serve, it's cheap, and only two miles away.
Has anybody stayed there for HOF? Or does anybody need an extra person to split lodging with? (: thanks
Primus sucks. That is about a 9 hour drive from Little Rock to Gulf Shores....difficult, but doable. May 14 Little Rock, AR Riverfest Amphitheatre *May 15 PRE-PARTY* May 16 Birmingham, AL Iron City May 17 Wilmington, NC Greenfield Lake Amphitheatre May 18 Asheville, NC Thomas Wolfe Auditorium
top 3 favorite band...I'll be blowing loads all over the place.
When there are no summer tour announcement for either band call it a hiatus.....http://pleasemehavenoregrets.com/983481
For the record didn't mean sts9 is breaking up but going on hiatus, which is the exact same thing phish is doing.
So...no summer tour equals hiatus? So a band that has a fall and/or spring tour tour but no summer tour is on hiatus? No. A formal summer tour is not a requirement for a band to not be on hiatus. Regardless, that does not matter because both bands are playing shows this summer.
STS9 has 7 shows (mostly festivals) announced this summer so far...with possibly more to come. They are breaking in a new bassist after all. Probably not ready to announce a big summer tour yet if at all. sts9.com/tour-dates-tickets/
As far as phish and that link you put up goes, that is just some Phish fan site freaking out about Phish POTENTIALLY going on hiatus like all phish sites do every year. Like I said before, they are already playing Jazz Fest. And I know for a fact that they will be playing more dates this summer. Plus, LiveNation has leaked one of their summer dates already. So expect an announcement sometime soon. www.jambands.com/news/2014/03/06/phish-summer-tour-date-appears-on-livenation/

so you're sayin you would like primus to show up thursday? i know we drive from dallas to gulf shores straight shot only takes about 10 hours..
After months of clicking refresh on this and the other message board continuously and laughing, crying and enjoying you all.....I am sad to say that I found out today tha tI cannot attend the fest this year. Another obligation and life events have caused me to miss the one thing I was looking most forward to. I am beyond sad.
That being said, I have two tickets available that I will sell for less than the $516 it costs to buy two tickets currently. These are the tickets purchased at the fest last year which you turn it at the ticket booth for your wristbands. I can send them to you immediately. Send me an e-mail at jrpoplawski@gmail.com if you are interested. I will probably keep looking at the board but just in case.
I hope you all have a wonderful festival and I will be very sad when the date arrives and I cannot go. Until next year......

Primus can be eliminated. That Bham show would be well within the established radius clause of Hangout. That same clause stipulates a mandatory 3 month cushion before/after the fest as well as rights to announce first. So, yeah, there's zero chance primus will play Thursday.

Radius clauses generally only apply to headlining acts. Primus would not be in one as they are only playing a show, in a 1200 capacity venue in B'ham, promoted/booked by the same fucking people (Red Mountain Ent) as Hangout.

I was just making fun of a previous conversation and people (i guess like you?) that kinda make up stuff or just believe everything they hear or just spurt out completely arbitrary stuff. But, if you had actually read the Hangout radius clause then you would know that it is not like other clauses (generally) and applies to all headlining acts, including preparty headliners. So that would include Primus, and again fully eliminates them as a possibility.

that would be a must for me if soundgarden is touring again, especially with nin bc they are cool, but my main concern now regards the preparty. I just reaLLY HOPE WOLFMOTHR and DANNY BROWN don't conflict

God I hope the beet roots aren't the tent headliner Saturday. The beat is my workout song right now.

They should probably start booking lineups that make that necessary first. I kid. They must be getting pretty close to selling out if that request was made.
