I would imagine this opens the door for single day tickets more than anything.
Ahhhh, very valid point. Wonder how this shakes out, but either way looks good for the long run of the fest.
Very good, but it's still one of those things in which the plug gets pulled real quick. I feel like the council is sitting back and waiting for something to happen, so they can say- I told you so. Those old white people need to get a life.

I bet we won't see single day until it gets way closer. they'll sell as many 3days as possible. Atleast that's what I think. Single day looks so desperate. Riverbend, for example, doesn't sell out but only sells single day tix at the gates on that specific day - I think that's a pretty solid approach to single day.

Maybe I'm wrong but isn't the "Name this Stage" and the BMI stage the two stages? I think it's the one that was in the parking lot (a la 2011) and then the grass one from the past two years. Instead of one or the other, it't both, right? Hence two stages that will be amazingly hot. Red Bull stage is the smaller restaurant stage that used to be the kids stage. and then the two beach stages and the tent.
The Mega drop is where it was last year. I hated the sound bleed from that onto the Chevy stage.
It looks like VIP got smaller. Where are they going to do our private shows now?
Sad panda.
To me it looks about the same as last year and the year before? What is the little grey thing next to the VIP view area in the north part of VIP grove? Maybe it's a stage for our private shows?
I would imagine this opens the door for single day tickets more than anything.
A month or so back when HOMF announced lineup, ticket sales, etc… on their Facebook page someone asked if there would be single day tickets sales this year and Hangout responded to the comment and said that they will NOT be doing single day ticket sales this year.

I am more than fine with no single day tix. Single day peeps don't care about the vibe, they are there to see 1-2 bands, or go just because "the cool" kids are going. 3 day passes only- I would love it!

Doesnt mean much, especially when that statement was before the capacity increase. HMF also said they sold out last year, and that was a straight up lie... They'll do whatever they need to to make as much money as they can.

Those are bleachers for the Formerly Known As Letting Go stage.
Wondering if anyone has any experience with walkie talkies. Have more than the wife and I going this year, and i could barely send a text last year.
Awful. You're not the only one thinking this, all the freqs are ridic. Then, on top, it's impossible to hear almost anywhere. The wind and music make it difficult. Talkies aren't designed to be put by your ear to hear like a phone is, making it even worse. I had little to no trouble with texting last year, maybe it's your carrier - I have Verizon? Calls were pointless, but texts worked well, also dropping a GPS pin got my people to me more than once.
