Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I feel this board is a mess these days. In particular I miss the concerts Bands & Shows group. It's not necessary to forbid posting in this landing area as was the practice before but I feel having more steering will produce more/better conversations.
Also....where are all the people who wanted it to change? Make your cases people. For or against. I will not be changing things back and forth again and again. Already spent a decent amount of time moving all the other threads into this forum.

Sir (Sorry, don't know what to call you)
If you already did a survey and (most important) this is free and optional service then I say do whatever is most convenient for you after the first vote.

It's nice to have happy inforoosters .
Like I said....you guys can make your cases for one way or the other. People who want it to go back or people who want it to stay as it is. The main reason we made the change was because it seemed like people were for it without any complaints. I'll leave this open for discussion for a while to see what the consensus is.
Organization is always better. And it seems like threads are more likely to get lost into the abyss of the 2nd, 3rd, and so on pages with this format. If anything, I think the sub-boards should be better categorized, not removed.
I certainly preferred the sub boards I did not see where you were looking for input. They moved slowly but that was nice for long distance festival planning.
It always bothered me that the Music sub-board had "CD's" in the heading. CD's are really outdated. Something like "Recorded Music" (you guys can probably think of something a little cooler) seems more appropriate. And I'm just going to throw this out there, even though it will most likely be unpopular, but I think Now Playing should be moved to the Music Lounge. It has nothing to do with Bonnaroo and is more in line with what is found over here.

I honestly don't know what subforums you all are referring to.
*clicks recent threads button and continues browsing inforoo*
How this was split up between, before to big switch.
Music: CD's & Album Reviews Bands & Shows Festivals
gotcha, thanks.
I almost exclusively browse internet forums through the "recent threads" function. If there is a specific thread I am trying to find I usually just do a google search, like this if I was trying to find the Hangout thread. As such I rarely actually click into specific forums, so I don't even notice this type of stuff.
note: not using LMGTFY to be a smartass as use of that site usually implies, just because its a convenient way to demonstrate a google search.

haha! great link. I've never seen that site before so it cracked me up.
This was true for me as well and for most other people I believe. Also, it appears the previous thread never got off the first page with over half the posts coming from the same 2 people so it probably didn't seem like anything really worth worrying about for others. Looking back I'm surprised the change was implemented based on such a timid response. Still, you guys have access to the hard data to see if this board has been more or less utilized since the switch and I'll support whatever choice you ultimately make regarding it.

I would support bringing back the "Shows" subforum, just to organize things a bit. I think it would be fine to keep this area for posting general music talk and album discussion. I can adapt to whatever the consensus is, though.

Thanks for the input Juggs. That's the type of specific suggestions I was hoping to see.
We are pretty open to whatever the majority wants....so we'll have this thread open a little while for people to give their thoughts/suggestions/ideas. I'll leave it open longer than last time so more people see it and have a chance to post.
