apologize for making a new thread but I couldn't find a general groop camping discussion.
As of now, I am unable to raise the capacity of our groop past 24 even thought the website encourages the more the merrier. I have sent an email to groopcamping but hasn't been answered for the past few days, so I'm not holding out hope.
My questions is how strict is it enforced about people from GA joining a group in the groop camping? If the capacity isn't increased, couldn't they just park in GA and come join us? It wouldn't be adding to cars in the groop camping spot.
I know Wednesday night/Thursday morning they check the names of people coming in by car against the list they have from the sign ups. we did have a friend walk in and camp with us but we already had his camping stuff in our cars when we got to roo, so he was not bringing anything in with him. I do not know if they would stop someone and check the list if they were carrying things like a tent or duffel bag.
I don't see what the big deal would be since you have you own footprint of space and if you want cram more people into the space that is up to you and no skin off of other campers backs. I could see Roo having a problem because it is lost income since those people would not have paid the 35 bills.
Also I would continue to email them, I know that in May last year they let me at 2 people to our group by phone, i just had to call music today and pay the extra sign up fees.

trailerparknoodles Last year they did not check anyone's name coming into my group. We also had a friend drive in who was not even signed up, and he was able to use some of our extra space. I'm expecting them to be a little more organized this year though.
I definitely recommend groop cramping. Guaranteed location not too far from centeroo, you can camp with your friends regardless of when everyone shows up, and the lot of space they give you was enough to set up camp pretty spaciously.
