Indeed. I will be there with my bells on at The Tab. Waited a few years for Tame Impala to make it down South. They totally skipped us over during their first couple tours of their first album. I'm unable to make it to the Athens show, so I'm thoroughly pleased that they're bringing their talents back down here 4 months after they came for the first time. It;s gonna be good.
When you say Pre-HL, do you mean the band that plays on the Hangout Stage before the main act? We've had some pretty big bands play before the HL on the second stage (whatever its called throughout the years), inclusing The Black Keys, Wilco, FLips, SCI, etc
Yeah sorry, that's what I meant. Like the String Cheese/Wilco/MMJ/F Lips spot.
Sorry for the confusion. That was bad phrasing by me.

Yeah, kinda going on a limb with Modest Mouse there. They are a pretty big name, not like the bands you mentioned though. Maybe I am getting desperate, I could see them in that wilco spot as kind of the inde-90's band with a decent following, while still having another band at the "Let Go" Stage.

Yeah Ath sold out on me, considering standing outside the Theatre though since they always leave the doors open...but not if they're gonna be at hangout
me too, hard to keep it straight at this point. oh well.
my ideas, hunches, ect are completely on E. I have nothing. I keep checking the FB page in some weird attempt to will it to have a lineup on it, but nope
Tool without new material isn't worth it. I say this as a Tool fan with an unhealthy obsession from the Lateralus release up until 10,000 Days. If we get the same show that has been on the road since 2006, quack that.
I've never been to a disappointing Tool show.
Always a good show, including when I saw them a year ago. I just would rather spend my Hangout money on a headliner with more recent material (Macca being an exception).

Not happening, sorry.
They're clearly jet hopping around, no reason they couldn't play Hangout for a nice payday too. Not likely but to go from Spain to the Gorge with one day off implies to me that they are down for whatever. (I'm not expecting them though)

The reason for the dude's triple post is someone posted a group of artists last night around 3am, and I was lurking. For some reason Bonnafunky got all butthurt and complained about it, the account name was "theroguegs". The bands he named were Moby, Big boi, Yeah yeah yeahs, bassnectar, imagine dragons, the antlers, and a couple more I can't remember. I made an account just to break the silence. There is no reason to complain about speculation, ever. Bonnafunky should probably stay off the board.

No to Tool because they are not in HO demographic; Jane's Addiction is interesting. I think they would be cool on the beach, but not sure of the headliner status. There would have to be a popular act elsewhere to support the crowd. Not sure if Jane's could entertain 30-35 thousand or more people this day and age. I would accept JA as a #2-5 bill on their respective day though.
exactly. Hangout has booked one metal band ever: Motorhead in 2011. The only reason they got booked (read added late) is because they were touring with Foo. I believe Primus is the closest thing to metal that hangout would actually seek out for booking. Also: consequenceofsound.net/2013/02/theres-no-new-tool-album-coming-this-year/
