Fair enough. He may be a frontrunner or he may not. Knoxville doesn't have a pro team, so you find a bigger spread of fandom here. My boss is a huge Bears fan. He grew up there but has been living here for 20+ years.

He grew up there, though. He has a connection. I know the history of the NFL pretty well, and unless Keeks over there was born in the northeast there is nooooooo CHANCE he became a Pats fan until the Brady era. None. No one was beating the doors down to buy Drew Bledsoe's jersey and get Pete Carrol's autograph.
Anyone my age that is a Pats fan is likely a frontrunner, anyway, even people from Boston and the surrounding area. I've met few Pats fans my age that can speak intelligently towards the pre-Brady era outside of the year they lost in the SB (which any marginal fan would know about).

I enjoyed watching Meggett play in his Giant days. Ronnie Harmon and him were my favorite third down backs. And Eric Metcalf. It was great when Metcalf went to the Falcons and played WR in the Run N Shoot.
The Pats goin 2 quickest slots out there + 2 of the best TEs out there, throw in a wideout and let Brady toy with the D with 5 wide....magic. Just hope the rookies come in and solidify the D and rings should be ready to return to Bahston this year.
So you're a Pats fan from Knoxville. You just get worse and worse.

Oh yes, I currently live in Knoxville, ergo no connection to the NE, ergo bandwagon, ergo post rude response. Great way to act towards others...truly. It's all good though, I just think a little niceness could go a long way or at least refraining from being rude. Where's the Roo maxim even when we're not at Roo?
I didn't watch much football before the Super Bowl they lost to attention whore and the Packers. I did see some the Bledsoe era. I'll admit I got more interested when Brady came to Foxboro and started winning rings. But it makes sense, since I'm 27 and from New England. The Pats sucked for eons when I was little, and nearly went to STL in 93 or so.

I'm nice to 95% of the posters here. I just don't care for your religious, political, social or economic views. And you're a Pats fan, I only have room for a few Pats fans Inforoo pals, and we're at maximum capacity. In fact, the part of your personality I know the least about is your taste in music.

Considering I'm an atheist liberal somewhere near the Nader camp, I find that sort of hard to believe Flanz. Though I don't know how religious you are, you seem to be quite left politically. I'm not asking to be pals, just not to be called a bad person for a sports opinion.
If it makes you happy LD, I'm far from a Boston sports fan and the Pats are only my 2nd favorite team. You can have the Sox, Celtics, and Bruins. Fwiw, my grandfather is from Boston and tried to raise me a fan of the teams, fortunately only one of them stuck due to a fascination with Drew Bledsoe.

You lost me there, why would me being an ignostic shape my approach to playing DA?
Talk about football, please. I make fun of the Pats with or without you, so don't take rivalry talk so salty.
I completely agree. That is all I came in here doing, until you took my opinion as a chance to attack me personally. I could care less about rivalry talk, just keep it between the teams and we're fine.
Whoever proves the bigger hockey fan gets #1 Boston fan in my book.
Bruins are my favorite sports team overall, so hockey has pretty much taken over as my favorite sport to watch, but only as of about 4 years ago. I was basically driven there due to the corruption of the NBA as a whole, my dislike for Red Sox ownership, and as much as I love the Pats and Fantasy I just don't really enjoy watching Football(except for those 2 things).

Since we have multiple fantasy leagues, I'm going to try and keep my non-Thunderdome trash talk to this thread. Thunderdome trash talk will be in the Thunderdome thread.
QB - A. Rodgers WR - M. Austin WR - D. Jackson WR - S. Holmes RB - R. Mathews RB - T. Richardson TE - F. Davis WR/TE - J. Tamme WR/RB - D. Sproles K - A garbage can DEF - Patriots BN - J. Flacco BN - R. Mendenhall BN - A. Collie BN - B. Edwards BN - T. Moeaki BN - E. weenieson BN - K. Wright (ROTY candidate) BN - M. Goodson BN - J. McKnight
Bask in it, because The Abusement Park is once again open for business.
I can't believe that grown men football (NFL) is less than a week away. Hopefully the Panthers can make a run into the playoffs. This whole not winning thing has to end
