I can't wait for parent teacher conferences next week. "Uhh yeah your son said you locked them in a room with a pizza and a gallon of water so you could watch a music fest lineup announcement?"

Just make sure that room is the bathroom and you have all your bases covered

Also eliminates the need for the gallon of water! I think ncbst3 has done this before
It's weird to think lineup day is finally here. This is only my first year on inforoo, and the fact that we've been discussing all these potential lineups for eight months now, for it finally to be revealed is kind of surreal. I love this crazy place
I think "Festival Snob" and "The Festive Owl" should have their own thread where they can go to bitch and trash each other without disrupting other threads.

Good idea. What would we name it?
Hmmm... that's going to take some thinking. Someone more clever should help out lol
1. Prep everything first. Rinse and cut your veggies, trim and season your meat, gather spices and herbs. Whatever is on that ingredients list, have it right there in front of you and ready to go. If you need boiling water, get that going. Same goes for the oven. Seriously, this takes away a lot of the chaos and stress.
2. Blanch yo' veggies, son. Parboil 'em, drain, and then shove all of 'em in a bowl of ice water. Keeps them nice and crisp as well as helps maintain color and nutrients. I'll usually get my veggies done towards the start and let them sit in the ice water until I'm ready to finish them off in a saute pan. I guess if you prefer mushy veggies, ignore this. I made glazed carrots to go with baked stuffed pork chops the other day. The carrots sat until the chops came out of the oven, then I drained them and threw them in a pan with butter, brown sugar, salt, pepper and chopped parsley. Cooked until the butter and sugar were melted and coated the carrots.
I have more, but I don't want to overwhelm you or anything. If you want to tell me what you're cooking and where the problems were/are, I can probably help a bit more. Timing is the trickiest part. The only suggestion I have for that is to just know the ingredients you're working with. Experiment and don't be afraid to fail. It's how you learn for the next time.
I am trying SO HARD to keep working at stay off of Inforoo. I can't keep away for more than two minutes at a time. I think I would be satiated if my boss would let us listen to music... at least for today. PUHLEAAASSEEEE?!?!?
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
