Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'll admit it's stupid, but y'all should get last.fm. Then you can keep track of vinyl/SoundCloud/YouTube, etc. Stats are only as good as their source data.
I second this. The stats are endlessly fascinating. I've been using it a little over 6 years. I'll also submit that it's admittedly super lame.
Ya, thanks to Snowman's suggestion, I'm now ready to scrobble on my desktop and phone. I do like that now I'll get stats from all my listening sources, as I do listen to a decent amount on Soundcloud for DJ mixes.
I like looking at stats, so stats about my music consumption are a home run in my book.
I created my spotify account linking through Facebook and they send my EOTY lists to the email account my facebook is linked to... weird!
That is strange. I have never specified an email address in Spotify, and when I went into my account settings, the email address was blank. I checked the account that my FB is linked to, and have never received any email at all from Spotify.
Not sure if it's just me, but I keep getting an error saying that the inforoo.com domain name has expired. I can still access the site going to bonnaroo.probaords.com, but just thought you all should know.

Me too. I think it's fucking with the app also. I can't access it through the app today
Ugh, I made the mistake of using my FB account to sign up for Spotify a while ago. Ended up going premium when they ran one of their $.99 specials. There's now no way to disconnect my Spotify account from my FB account. I have to delete and cancel my current Spotify account and start a new one.
I was wondering why I never got my year end stats from Spotify. It's because I don't have an email address on file with them due to signing up with FB. And if you weren't on the email list when the stats went out, no way to look at them now.
It would be nice to be able to log in and check stats at any point. Seems like that should be an easy thing to do.

How do you link last.fm to vinyl?
I have an app on my phone called vinyl scrobbler. You scan the barcode on the sleeve and it finds it in the database. then you can select which tracks (if you only listen to one side or something), and choose either "just starting" or "just finished" and it auto generates the time stamps and uploads to last.fm

It's been fixed.
Trump tried to buy the domain but we warned him we were a bunch of liberal snowflakes, so he backed off.
Hmm, was a pretty simple set up for me. What went wrong on your end?
I just installed a scrobbler plugin in Chrome, enabled the feature in Spotify (both phone and desktop), installed the Last.fm app on my phone, and installed a plugin for Media Monkey since it isn't natively supported. That seems to cover every way I listen to music. Just make sure each app/plugin has your log in info.
Don't even have to start the app on my phone, if I start listening to anything it starts right up.

I never knew you had to install the apps. I thought you just had to enable it in Spotify and such.

It's working now of course.
When you install the app on your phone, make sure you're just counting one scrobble per Spotify play. You need to either tell the phone app to ignore Spotify plays, or not set it up in Spotify on your phone. Otherwise you'll get double counts for those.
The Chrome plugin is great, gets stuff from Soundcloud, NPR First Look, Bandcamp, and just about everything else.
thank you everyone talking about scrobbling, i just got linked back up to last.fm. looks like the last time i scrobbled was february 2015, and apparently i was listening to a shitload of drake at that time.

I've had my last.fm account since 06, I believe. it's fun to check out my stats from time to time! and great for artist discovery.

I only got one when last.fm was on Xbox and you could use it like Pandora. So I have a lot of stats from 2010 and then nothing for 3 years. My stats are heavily biased on the last couple years, I wish I had more years.
There used to be an inforoo group, but I dunno where it went since they redid the site. notdarkyet has a thread around here somewhere where he would report the weekly inforoo listening stats.
Thank you snowmanomura for getting me back on last.fm!! Although I haven't used it since 2012 and my history involves a lot of LMFAO and Daft Punk. My music taste used to be so weird.
Just looked up Chicago's St. Patrick's Day parade and it's the weekend I'll be there.
I'm recruiting all of the Chicago folk to come drink with me.
ABORT ABORT!!! we went last year for the first time. it was a SHIT SHOW!!! ask SiggymonsterAlyssa@porchradio
Yeah. Here's the thing: Everyone but me is running a half marathon that same morning so I'm stuck in a shitshow no matter what.
no one thought this trip through and it's been incredibly fucking frustrating. I'm pretty sure our friends that live there don't even know the parade is that day. I've given up trying to find anything that I actually want to do because one of the people we'll be with is a total control freak and won't do anything that isn't his idea. It's gonna be a looooooong trip that I should have bailed on but I've never been to Chicago so I've couldn't pass it up.
Maybe I'll just ride the train and people watch all day.
In the past two weeks, I've either seen, briefly met or spoken to the following celebrities at The Patterson House. Taylor Hicks, Connie Britton, Joey Lauren Adams, and Evan Rachel Woods. Surprise!: Taylor Hicks is a douche.

While I have heard it's not the greatest time in the world due to it being a shitty parade and all too many people out in the streets, you can just walk everywhere. You won't even need to be on a train. Just walk up and down Michigan, Lakeshore and some of the cross streets inside the loop and along the Lake's edge. You won't be disappointed with the sights unless the weather is really shitty. I've been to Chicago probably 8 or 9 times, and when it comes to Grant or Millennium Park, I can just keep walking all day long. It's a f'n awesome downtown.
So with the parks, the Miracle Mile, Navy Pier, Wrigleyville, etc. are all within a mile or two. At the South End of Grant Park are Addler Planetarium which is fucking great, and Shedd Aquarium which is one of the best but you have to buy a ticket to see the whole thing and not just the first floor because that's boring.
