It feels weird seeing them make songs out of Dylan lyrics when Dylan is still alive and playing shows. I'm not against it....it just seemed weird to me.

haha yea....like oh you aren't gonna use these? we'll just borrow them
They released an album early this year. The tour with The Used in Pittsburgh had some newer material
Is it any good? I kinda gave up on them after the second album and line-up changes. They're coming here in feb or March and I am feeling nostalgic.
Its not bad...I think it sounds alot more like their first 2 albums (which is a good thing) plus they are pretty close to back to their original lineup. I went for nostalgia also. I wouldnt pay out the ass for them but it wasnt a bad show.
My grandma was looking for Little House on the Prairie and somehow ordered porn. She didn't know how to shut it off and had to call my aunt for help. It took them fourteen minutes to get the channel changed.
Can someone please explain Death Grips to me and why people think they're good?
ummmmmmm.
If you don't get it, you don't get it but since they're not an act anymore it shouldn't concern you.
I honestly believe that they're sarcastic. I think they were trying to prove a point about how bad music can be with people still liking it just due to the amount of shows they cancelled, how quickly they made albums and how they defined themselves as "conceptual" with no real definition on what that meant.
Death Grips just seemed incredibly fake to me. The whole thing seemed calculated and forced. Like, great, we get it, you're edgy and totes hardkore, you fake fan suicides at your shows and tweet out pictures of your dick as "rebellion" against your label.

I really wanted to like them because of Zach Hill and it looked like their shows would be fun, but I just couldn't.
I love the concept. But if they decided to do an Emo themed tent my choice of acts would be different, that's all.
You Blew It!/Modern Baseball/Get Up Kids/ Mineral/ American Football Brand New LN is how I'd love to see it
Ah, gotcha. Is Modern Baseball Conor Oberst's new band? 'Cause I'd like to see him do a Bright Eyes set. Never did get to see him live.
As much as I love Brand New, I am so hesitant to give them the late night in our emo dream. They are so inconsistent live. I've been hearing rumors that they're working on new material, though, so that's got me all excited.

No it's not, but you really should check them out. They're an Emo revival band that's generating a lot of hype lately. Their newest album You're Gonna Miss It All is one of my favorite records of the year.
I'd love for for Bright Eyes to be there as well. I'd also love for Desaparecidos, Conor's Emo/post-hardcore band to be there as well
I saw Brand New live a couple of weeks ago and they were pretty great
I was reading an article about why phone calls should be killed and came across this quote: "...When I get a text alert, it always makes me happy, even before I read the message. When my phone rings, I think, Uh-oh, what fresh hell is this?" yep.

Can someone please explain *insert literally anything I don't like here* to me and why people think they're good?
I can usually understand why people like bands that I don't like (ie Arcade Fire, Bright Eyes) but this I really just think it's pure edge. It's like I could seriously make a Death Grips song tonight.

Alright bud, so go ahead and do it and report back?
but really... I mean they're pretty polarizing. A band like Arcade Fire isn't really comparable... Which albums have you listened to? The Money Store and Exmilitary are probably their most accessible. If you're legitimately interested in giving them a shot Here is a decent guide to all their releases.
At the end of the day they're just making 'hype music'. Look at in the same way you would Flaka or something. It's loud, abrasive, gritty, angry.
Also they're shows are pretty sick. I caught them at 'roo and loved it, even without Zach Hill.
