Agreed Kim. My ultra-rich cousin always had a thing for Gundlach wine too. She's broken open some solid bottles over the years. There was one we hit last year from 2003 that had turned a bit, but I was like fuck it. You don't get this shit every day even if it's a bit over the line. haha
Looks like a super cool couple days in Sonoma Valley.
It's 36 Chambers too (25th Anniversary). I'm not big on Logic or Atmosphere (don't hate Ant, just not big on Slug). Goldenvoice made the decision to elevate Migos this year to smaller fest headliner. You'd think if Migos got any bigger, they'd be perhaps the biggest rap group in the world today. But to me, Ice T (even if he's a novelty at this point), Wu-Tang doing 36 Chambers, Tyler and Migos seem like they should be Top 4. IDK.
Looks like a fun day no matter how they book it though.
Tycho is doing a DJ set this weekend, has anyone seen his set? I'm assuming it's all very chill and not a set for molly munchers, but the venue certainly is so idk.

question: what is the best way to suggest to your homophobic parents that you want to go to a gay artist's concert? i want to try and get tickets for hayley kiyoko's orlando date and im nervous on how they're going to react (still very much closeted in real life)

I don't know anything about your situation, but:
- Do you have your own transportation or no? - Do they actually look into what you're listening to? - Do they track where you go and what you're doing there? - Are you 18 yet?
Without that info, I'd suggest not telling them anything or just play dumb about the artist being gay. But I'm not sure how well either would work based on specific circumstances.

are they into queen or judas priest?
*you could always say 'its an act'. i feel like a deece percentage of people who know of Montreal probably think Kevin is gay, but the drag is part of a persona.

Easy. Lie to them. How are they going to know you're going to see a gay artist anyway?

Who tells their parents the truth? When I wanted to see Good Charlotte in an ice storm when I was a 16 I didn't tell them where I was going, or I would have missed the show!

Do they have to know it's a gay artist? If not, don't make an issue out of that. It depends on your age (obviously) and freedom. But if they are permissible and don't otherwise have a problem with you going to a concert, and it's at a reputable place, I'd recommend just asking if you can go. OTOH, I'm thinking you being in Orlando and the comment of being very much closeted you may have evangelical parents who might be less than tolerant? Best I've heard anecdotally and on tv was that sometimes dealing with the truth causes complete dismissal and disassociation because they can't deal with it. Sometimes parents are cool (maybe moms more than dads in the South?). That's probably a more important conversation to have (unless you're really, really young - talking 15 or 16) and fear being thrown out on the streets.
Oh shit (and damn! hahah). I just did a google search and she's a former Disney star. That should be an easy out. Immediately adjacent to the search was a good looking young lady's with a suggestive look in her eyes with a YouTube link to "Curious" Haha. Then there's The Sleepover and Girls Like Girls.

Take the Disney angle!
Conservative christians hate Disney. My wife had to deal with this kind of stuff growing up. When we first started dating she told them we were going to see a christian band. We went to see NIN.

I actually hate it too*, but if you remind them that Walt himself was a neo-Nazi, Christianist, maybe they'll appreciate that side of it. haha
* Loved the old movies and Wonderful World when I was a kid. Hate the TV channel and was glad when my kids ditched it for Cartoon Network early in life.
She probably can't pull the Disney card being in Orlando, since it's pretty well known there they're friendly to the LGBT community. Especially if it's at Orlando House of Blues, which is in Disney Springs.
