The Royale is such a shitty venue to have a metal show. And yet, I wanna see Deafheaven AND Tribulation AND Envy.
Seriously. Both have put out outstanding records this year and Envy never ever tours the US. I'm considering either DC or Carrboro. I just gotta find out who can deal with that much metal.
TBH, I need to listen to more of Tribulation and Envy - I'm not familiar with either.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

You need to fix that with Tribulation. Their newest is a contender for my favorite metal album of all time.

I saw Envy play their 4th ever US show back in 2005, at AS220 in Providence. It was fucking unreal.

Reason #457391 that Katy Mae is better than me. I've never gotten a chance to cross them off my list.
I went on and picked up tickets for Cat's Cradle yesterday. I'm beyond excited. This is one of my favorite metal bills this year. After talking to Mrs. GL, she's going. It was fun putting all that stuff on her iPod.

was wondering why bully conspicuously went from San Diego to Tucson, with a day off in between. I'd rather see them at the tiny club downtown, but I guess $20 for this isn't too bad. I can see bully then get day drunk and watch the awkward teenagers.

I would totally go to this. MSMR is great live also, and you can't beat $20.
Bought an extra Riot Fest for Sunday for a bro to hang out with, 2 days of North Coast, and I'm doing Pygmalion in Champaign for Run the Jewels and Purity Ring.
That Pygmalion lineup looks sweet. There is even a band called Bones Jugs N Harmony, which I can only assume sounds similar to Emmett Otter.

Upsetting to have to miss Fuzz that night in NOLA, but it's an easy decision for me.
Hmm, November 1st Sufjan is playing about an hour and a half away in Baltimore, and Gary Clark Jr. is playing a half hour away in Philly. Sufjan would likely be the better show, but it'd cost more and would be more of a pain in the ass to go see. I've also seen him on this tour and haven't seen any of Gary's new stuff. But who knows when Suf will tour again? This is tough.

You know what my suggestion will be haha but I won't pretend it isn't clearly a biased opinion/piece of advice.

For my Florida people: a D'Angelo show just got announced for the House of Blues in Orlando. He's playing on October 5, and tickets are currently on sale with the password CROWDSURF.
How is TV on The Radio live? I'm unsure about buying tickets
I thought they were great. Did you like the new album? I wasn't too crazy about it, but I thought the new songs were a good change of pace in their setlist and a lot better live.

I haven't listened to them in years, but they're one of the only bands I recognize who's going to be playing in Amsterdam the week I'm there. I just want to see a concert in a foreign country, to check it off the bucket list.

They still play a good bit of old stuff(about 50/50 if I remember correctly) so I don't think you would be disappointed . Also that's really cool, I tried to get my dance partner to go to a concert while she was in London but it didn't work out. Who else is playing while your out there?

I actually just realized Sturgill Simpson is going to be there, so it looks like we're probably going to hit that up instead.

That stupid fee jacks up the price for no good reason.
