my last show at first ave before I move is tomorrow. considering I sat and cried in my car for 20 minutes after tv on the radio the other night, my emotions should be interesting.
django django still ranks among the top of my favorite first ave shows of all time, so it's a pretty perfect show to end my minneapolis concert-going.

Not sure why I remember this but one of the first things that made you stick out to me was your Django Django love on the board. Minneapolis is a hard city to part with but it sounds like you're transitioning to an equally good place and an even better life adventure. Enjoy the show and best of luck out there on the east coast, dude.

GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!
Why no NOLA? UGH!
Saw them in Austin earlier this summer and they were good but not worth getting upset over.

I was thinking they would play at Gasa Gasa for like $12, but I am already over it. I mentioned it to a coworker and he said that they are just ok live too.

I've seen em twice: first time was at Roo back in 2013 and they were AMAZING but the second time was more recently at a venue and they were just ok. I don't know what happened since Roo, but their shows must have dropped off.
Screw you guys. DIIV was one of the best 3 things I saw last year. But that also included the singer almost starting fisticuffs with a drunken audience member.
e: That sucks they aren't consistent on stage.

I am not saying that I wouldn't see them if they came to NOLA and I didn't have a conflict, just for the record. I would totally be at that show, I am just over the fact that they are booked here.

I enjoyed their Levitation show quite a bit. Wasn't one of my top 5 sets, but that's just bc there was such amazing music that weekend.
My only complaint is their stage banter. After every other song it was, "Hi, we're DIIV, we're from New York."
He must have said that at LEAST 7 times during their set. Once or twice is good, bc I didn't know how to pronounce their name.
But I won't be seeing them this tour, will be in AZ for Tool/Primus when they're coming through town.

7 times!? That is a bit excessive. Isn't it pronouced dive? Or is it a short i? I always say dive, like I am going to dive in the pool.

I think the tour last year was heavily supervised because of the legal troubles. Probably didn't make for the best mood

Just saw SCI is playing the LC in Columbus!! Ahhhh shit! It's been entirely too long since I've had some cheese in my life. All of that will be remedied in October! 10/19 in Columbus, then Hulaween! Is it October yet?!
The Royale is such a shitty venue to have a metal show. And yet, I wanna see Deafheaven AND Tribulation AND Envy.
Seriously. Both have put out outstanding records this year and Envy never ever tours the US. I'm considering either DC or Carrboro. I just gotta find out who can deal with that much metal.
Hoping I can find somebody to go see Old Crow Medicine Show with on Tuesday in Roanoke. I've seen them multiple times, so if it don't work out it's not that big of a deal....but with the few opportunities I have around here, I need to take advantage of it.
9/22 - New York, NY - Theater at Madison Square Garden
9/23 - Philadelphia, PA - Penn's Landing - Festival Pier
9/26 - Clarkston, MI - DTE Energy Music Theatre
9/27 - Chicago, IL - Aragon Ballroom
9/30 - Morrison, CO - Red Rocks Amphitheater
10/2 - Houston, TX - NRG Center
10/8 - New Orleans, LA - Bold Sphere Music at Champions Square
10/9 - Dallas, TX - South Side Ballroom
More Dates Coming Soon.....
Hoping Vince Staples gets added to Afropunk fest. It's in the middle of this tour. I think Rocky is at One Music Fest. Otherwise I hope he gets added too.
