I'm not gonna post a partial list, but Ministry is in the middle of booking a tour next spring/summer and I can't believe how much they're charging for tickets. $70!?!??!
For fucking Ministry? WTF? A Paul Barker less Ministry at that. I've seen them twice and I remember it costing like $25 both times. Sure that was over a decade ago, but what in the fuck has Al done since then to demand such a high booking cost? His album sales have diminished to practically nothing in the past decade. I could see double that, but triple? AH
Scored some balcony seats for Jack White's upcoming stop at the Austin Music Hall. They sold out quickly somewhere between 5-10 minutes, glad I set an alarm!
Also psyched to see Swans again. They're playing at The Parish this time, which is a much smaller venue then the one they played previous (Mohawk). Parish is 450 capacity, whereas Mohawk is 850. And their last show as Mohawk was sold out. So needless to say I already picked up my ticket, and it's going to be fucking packed.
Really curious as to why they booked it there this time.
Zappa Plays Zappa will honor the 40th anniversary of Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention's 1975 album One Size Fits All by performing the LP in its entirety during a North American tour next year.

I got real excited when I saw they were playing Pittsburgh til I saw it was at the Benedum. Now not so much.
not a good venue?
Great Venue...if you're going to see Pittsburgh Ballet Company Presents: The Nutcracker or Pittsburgh Symphony sitting in for a performance of Phantom of the Opera. Maybe a show where sitting through the performance would be acceptable?
Im not big on this venue for a show like this. Seated venues in Pittsburgh dont work (Carnegie Music Hall included) I would want to see Alt-J at Stage AE or Mr Smalls. Benedum is a fully seated venue with minimal room to stand or dance. Im sure it would be a good show regardless just deters me being at this venue.

Thanks. Good to know. I scored good seats for this show for my husband's birthday in March as a surprise. At least I know what to expect now.
