Ok fellow inforooers, need some advice. Going to Swans next week in Nashville and I have to ask: earplugs or no earplugs? I missed them at roo last year in order to get a close spot for Tame Impala (which I don't really regret because Tame was incredible), but my brother and I could actually hear them in the middle of the packed other tent in between Holy Ghost and Tame. So I ask, are the earplugs a necessity or not? I've seen some pretty loud shows (Mogwai, GY!BE, Ty Segall) without earplugs (actually have never worn plugs at a show), and enjoyed all of those shows immensely. Right now I'm thinking of taking a pair, but not putting them in unless it gets truly painful. Thoughts?
I'm probably going to be at this show since it looks like I can no longer get tickets for their Louisville date. I'm for sure brining ear plugs. I totally fucked my ears last week seeing Eyehategod and Ringworm. Its been 7 days and my right ear is still ringing. Thankfully the pain is gone. If you plan on being close to the stage I'd at least bring some. You can decide there whether or not to use them.

That Boston date might be the one thing that could get me to miss FreeFest. I've been wanting to see them for a while now. Maybe I could go to the Philly date on the way down.

Filter, Helmet and Local H are playing together next month in Knoxville. Late high school/early college Dave totally peed a little.
I've seen all 3 of 'em in the past 3 years and they're all still great live. That will be a great show.
Nice. I was wondering about all of them since I would assume none are sporting their original line-up. It's only $18 advance so I would have probably take a chance on it regardless.
I'd have to drive 4 hours to Lafayette, LA or B'ham, AL to catch that. Lafayette show is on a friday though, so if I can find 3 others to throw in on gas, it might happen.

Ear plugs. The good kind. Exit/In is small and the acoustics are good. Mogwai peeled the paint off the walls.

I'm hoping to know tomorrow or Friday if I'll be able to make it. I'm off work all next week because we're closed so I'll be able to come down early enough to hang out before the show. I definitely want to grab some dinner and drinks with you!

Alright inforoo, I'm looking for some guidance. A venue in Philly just recently announced 4 shows that I really want to see. Normally I'd be at all 4, but since I'm trying to swing One Big Holiday I think I can only go to 2. Of the following, what 2 would you choose?
Simian Mobile Disco (live show) [Friday night] Caribou [Thursday night] Jamie xx [Thursday night] Jagwar Ma [Tuesday night]
Also, I have not seen any of theses acts live before
