Anyone seen Alison or Willie in the past few years? Wondering how they are live. I live in Knoxville and they play a few days before I graduate, thinking about going.
I've Never seen Willie, but saw Allison at Roo in 2011, and she was good. That was with Union Station and Jerry Douglas though. Is she solo on this tour with Willie?
From what I understand, they are touring together. So it's Willie Nelson and Family AND Alison Krauss and Union Station. So I assume they will alternate who plays first, but play separate. Though I'd imagine one sitting in with the other for a couple songs is possible.

Hell yes. The initial announcement didn't include that ABQ date.

I saw Willy Nelson and Family last summer and they were really good. It's funny because a few weeks prior I saw Bob Dylan and he was terrible so I was a bit worried Willy might be on the decline considering he's got Bob by ten years.

Excited about my next two nights up here in beautiful Akron, Ohio. Gonna catch Russian Circles with KEN Mode and Inter Arma for like $12 at Grog Shop. Then Tues, we are lucky enough to catch two living legends in one cosy club, Alejandro Escovedo with Pete Buck of REM opening. Not too shabby way of starting the week.

Holy sh*t. I didn't think Blood on the Wall was still around. I used to love them. That's awesome they're playing with Woods. Where is that?

So, how was the Russian Circles/KEN Mode/Inter Arma show? I already can't wait to see Inter Arma again, they were crushing live.

"So, how was the Russian Circles/KEN Mode/Inter Arma show?"
It was tremendous. What a brick-solid bill and not remotely same-sounding between bands, which was refreshing. LLL was headbanging and moshing with me, but the rest of the crowd was rigid and lame. Bad case of Pitchfork-itis going around. She got some good photos from the front row. We bought a cool Inter Arma tie-die and had the whole band sign it, since they were the ones selling Merch. We talked with all of them for a while about their indescribably amazing set at Boomslang last fall... a bill with Pallbearer and Grails that took place in a Baptist church that had service the following morning. Everyone agreed it was the most bizarro set ever witnessed, playing on an active altar with psychedelics, shotgunned PBRs, porn films and brutal metal. Real sweet guys in Inter Arma. KEN Mode crush the hardcore noise and are really a band to watch in coming years. Russian Circles were heavier and tighter than I remember. Couldnt believe the crowd was stagnant amidst all that shredding. "Goodnight Cleveland, ya lame-o pusssies!"

Agreed, it really was a great bill. I wanted to go talk to Inter Arma after their set, but decided to stay in the crowd to work my way closer.
That Boomslang set sounds absolutely mind bending. Would have loved to have seen that.

Yeah it was pretty shocking to see them on the line up. There's a local record store here in Lawrence, KS called the Love Garden and they are celebrating their 24th anniversary with a pretty tight line up. Woods and Blood on the Wall plus some local stuff too. Wayne Coyne is known to drop in from time to time too.
