Hopefully those $20 tickets will also include sections other than lawn. I remember seeing Hall & Oates for that price two years ago in MA, where two of the uncovered seating sections (the ones all the way on the left and right) were a free for all. Got there early enough for Row A, and it made for a fun experience.
it wont, it will just be lawn. But im not sure if you guys have used the upgrade system that live nation has: livenation.expapp.com but they often allow you to upgrade your seat once you are already inside for pretty cheap. I upgraded from Lawn to Pit for a couple shows for 10 bucks. Depends on the demand for the show however, so the bigger shows it may have nothing available
Thanks for the tip! I'm gonna assume that shows with $20 lawn aren't selling that well overall (thus allowing for upgrade options).

Yeah generally thats the case but it depends on the day so its not a guaranteed thing. i generally just check in sometimes on shows that im not going to just to get an idea for how they are handling the upgrades

10/01 – Cambridge, MA @ The Sinclair 10/05 – Brooklyn, NY @ Music Hall of Williamsburg 10/06 – Brooklyn, NY @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
That's all that's announced so far, but guessing there'll be more
As odd as it seems, they appear to be doing hit and runs over here for a bit. In July they are doing a Chicago/Detroit/Toronto/Montreal run and going home. I wouldn’t hold my breath for more dates surrounding those just announced.

I'm hoping for a show in PVD during the October run, but admittedly don't think it'll happen. Even with the big gap between Boston and NY dates.

I actually didn’t even notice that gap. I’ll cross my fingers for you too.
I keep my eye on those dates because this is a Hopscotch want but I don’t think THAT’S happening either.
The Cure is putting out new music next year to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their first album, Three Imaginary Boys. They will be headlining the final day of Meltdown Festival in 2018. They're not doing a "traditional set" but instead will feature "interpretations of Cure songs" with different configurations of people on stage including Robert Smith solo.
After that show, they'll be playing their 40th anniversary performance at Hyde Park with Interpol, Slowdive, Ride, Goldfrapp, Editors and The Twilight Sad. ----------------------------- With the new album next year, I'm assuming they'll do a pretty massive world tour if they're up for it.
